Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago - Schaumburg - Extended stay hotel in Schaumburg - 815 American Ln, USA

It's been almost two months since I've been staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say that the staff is excellent. From the breakfast team to maintenance, housekeeping, and reception, everyone is simply wonderful. Every member of the team is always ready to help with a smile, making the stay very pleasant. I want to give a special thanks to Mary at front desk, an extremely competent, attentive, and friendly professional. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and high-quality experience.

We were here on a Wednesday, and they had an evening reception that was nice. This is only offered certain nights. Several of the guest took their food outside and sat around the grill in the picnic area. The room was clean and quiet. It did show signs of wear. Parking is free and easy. The hotel is spread out. Free breakfast is standard and the lady in charge kept it clean and well stocked. This was our second time staying here in the last six months.

Rent at your own risk I am a diamond member. I have stayed over 300 days in the last 12 months at Hilton hotels last two years. I probably spent over $50,000. at this particular homewood, location in Schaumburg. I have been treated like dirt. I was told that I was asking for too many rolls of toilet paper too many rolls of paper towels, so I went out and bought my own, furthermore there was a guest upstairs from us from Monday through Friday. Every time they took a shower leaked like buckets of dirty water in my shower. And bathroom. They did nothing about moving that guest to alleviate the problem. It went on for five days until the guest checked out. It gets worse and worse and worse we do not recommend this is the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed at.

Rooms are nice and clean. Not sure about anything else yet as we just got here but it’s the service that is not worth coming here, specifically management and front desk. |We are Gold Elite Honor members because we enjoy a lot of stays at Hilton properties. This stay we requested two days in advanced to be in building B near people we are here with. We called the hotel and Hilton customer service main line. Hilton CSR let us know that we can be in building B and if not we will get an upgrade. Fantastic. Front desk here. Have to pay for the upgrade and didn’t even look to see if we could be in building B. We know because if you have to dig in a system to check things out, like I did in college when I worked a front desk for Marriott, you need a good 2-3 mins to make sure you can or can’t accommodate. Nope. Just went through the steps to check in. When asked to see a manager, front desk went back and quickly came back that the manager is too busy. |People in our group who arrived after us, they go into the same building and floor we requested. After we were denied and even let them know we have a note to either be in the same building or an upgrade, which is free and advertised when you are a gold Honors member.

Not so good experience at this property. It's poorly managed, with cheap, quick fixes everywhere. The franchise owner needs to seriously invest in improving this place. Many of the room doors don't close properly, leaving gaps. Faucets leak, and door knobs don't work right. Hilton should really reconsider its association with this franchise. I've stayed at many Hilton properties, and this one is easily one of the worst.

Great location, comfy room & nice place. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and the staff were helpful throughoutourstay. One suggestion is to replace washing machine & dryer.Thank you for comfortable stay.

I previously stayed at this hotel and I liked it. However, the second time around - only about 3 months later - the experience was different and it declined faster that I could imagine. First, I had to modify only 1 day on my reservation and that wasn't possible. Hilton expected to cancel my entire reservation and book it for twice the amount. I decided to keep it, even though I was paying for an extra night, and turns out the room I had booked wasn't even available and had to choose another one with a smaller bed. I had a guest that was going to stay in the sofabed and was unable to because the mattress was dirty and barely had any cushion. No one ever could possibly sleep in that. They had only one washer and two dryer for entire place. The treadmill was damaged; the computer in business center was slow to the point that it barely could be used. The hallways in the 3-level building could use some air freshener. Extremely disappointed at Hilton! Sad to say, I'll never stay in this one again. Lobby and grounds look nice, but it's just a lipstick on a pig.

Very comfortable suite with living room, bedroom, and a full kitchen. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked with a good selection. Staff was helpful. Coin laundry is available but there's just one washing machine. Hope to stay again.
