Homewood Suites by Hilton Charlottesville, VA - Extended stay hotel in Charlottesville - 2036 India Rd, USA

This is a great place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Breakfast quite good and evening meal was quite good as well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and room well appointed. Location is good but just off a very busy street and can waste a lot of time waiting on lights. Not hotels fault, just busy.

Overall the hotel was very nice. Renovations are ongoing but did not impact my stay. I stayed in a renovated room, which was nice. Shower was hot. Bed was comfortable. If you're a light sleeper, I would request to be on the top floor. The person above me woke up at 4:00 a.m. and was stomping around their room. I could also hear things from my neighbor's room, but it wasn't excessive. I was disappointed the pool was closed. I used the workout room instead and felt it was above average for a hotel gym, but I prefer swimming and was looking forward to a heated pool. Also, I felt like Breakfast was a tad limited as there was no fruit. It's within walking distance to Whole Foods for groceries if you're staying longer and wish to use the kitchen in your room. My kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils.

The room was very nice and quite large. The kitchenette had dishes and pots and pans! Shower was small but adequate. Could not get the air conditioning to work without noise. Breakfast in the Lobby was amazing! Bed was comfortable, pillows too soft.

About 3 miles from downtown this hotel is very clean offering a gym and pool for guests only. Daytime staff will literally try to bend over backwards to help you, Night staff are quiet and efficient and mostly lurk around reception if you need them. Overall very clean each room is well stocked with towels and house keeping will provide any more that you need

The Bed was Very hard and uncomfortable. When your Room detail describes "Private and comfortable King Size bed" and "Serta Suite Dreams(R) Bedding" I would assume A plush "Dreamy" bed would be present. I was wrong. It was not transparent that the only bathroom in the room is attached to the master bedroom. So there is no privacy at all. The AC Unit would not run during the night when no movement was detected from the rooms thermostat. It was Over 90 Outside for Christ's sake. The electronic key with the app didn't work at all. People were running around all hours of the night with no staff enforcement. Trash lined the halls when we checked in and plates and broke glass were left in the hallway overnight. I expect better when I'm spending my money with Hilton. This is completely unacceptable.

Great location and excellent staff. They make you feel right at home. Keysha greets you like a friend. We love going here. The new renovations are excellent and you feel you are in a modern new environment. I highly recommend this hotel! ||Our room was excellent with new decor and conveniences. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices Homewood Suites are noted for.

We recently stayed at the Homewood Suites in Charlottesville for a wine country trip. The location is excellent, a great jumping off point to the many wineries around Charlottesville. It is walking distance to both a Whole Foods and a Krogers. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and there is coffee available in the lobby area at all times. We ate breakfast each day, and found it above average for hotels in the same price range. We stayed at the Hyatt Place on our last stay, and found the buffet at the Homewood Suites to be a step above. The suite was large, and the bed very comfortable. We would stay again at this Homewood Suites.

Very impressed with the hotel. Had a great spacious room on 3rd floor which had recently been refurbished. Some great touches like the small night lights in the bathroom. Loved the new style floor lamps. The room was very clean. Although generic to Hilton hotels we thought the toiletries were very good||All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine for the type it was. Only picky comment is that the hot breakfast items were tepid which isn’t pleasant for scrambled eggs etc. ||We really enjoyed our two night stay and thought it was excellent for the rate. Would definitely stay here again if passing through.
