Homewood Suites by Hilton Cape Canaveral-Cocoa Beach - Extended stay hotel in Cape Canaveral - 9000 Astronaut Blvd, USA

I have been a guest several times within the past 2 months as a solo visitor for business and also with my companion for Victory Casino and Carnival Cruises. The reason for this review is for several things. Upon my late night arrival Lyn was alert and welcoming. My room was as expected but noticed several locations within the hotel were moist and warm. Inquired about it at front desk and was told AC issues again, I was hoping this stay the Air Conditioning would have been repaired so we don’t sweat walking the hotel My next encounter was in the breakfast area. It was a bit overwhelming and extremely hot. Then I was greeted with a Big Happy Tuesday! how are you today? Can I help you find something as she gave me a very thorough explanation on the breakfast you now offer. I must say Teresa was very friendly, attentive and a joy so early in the morning. She really takes pride in the work she does. I wonder how she keeps up that cheerful demeanor after hearing a man emerging from the open door speak to her so foul mouthed and disrespectful with her hands full of dirty plates. I hope Teresa realizes that her Kindness to me and others will carry her to a peaceful place.

I have fond memories of my Homewood Suites experience back in 2006 in New Orleans and unfortunately this Homewood Suites was a far cry from that property. It is located on a strip of hotels that cater to cruise goers. The hotel is small and clean but sparse. The breakfast was the worst I have had a Hilton property as I am a Hilton Honors member. No little containers of butter, jelly or cream cheese. . Only containers that you stick a knife in. The rooms all overlook a parking lot. The television had great channels and the air conditioning was great. The staff was nice. $40 for early 2 hour early check in. The shower was hot but the spray was mediocre. It is fairly far to walk to a grocery store to stock up on cruise goodies. On the good side, you can take a bus there for $.075!! Unfortunately the bus takes you on a roundabout loop through the sleepy town of Port Canaveral and drops you off on the return trip across from the hotel on a really busy main highway. We needed to hitch a ride with someone making a left turn from the gas station to just drop us off across the highway to the hotel. Beware, don’t become road kill here!

Great experience here of this location. We are greeted wonderfully by Amanda. She should take care of us quickly, efficiently and got us in our our rooms and explained everything to us. Shortly after being in our room I got a text asking her everything was okay and is anything else she could do for us. That was a great follow-up. I appreciate that kind of service here cuz that's what you hope to get at Hilton. On the plus side, there's a launch tonight at midnight that we get to stand outside and see it from about 8 mi away so that's pretty cool.

We stayed one night before our cruise. Great hotel for cruise stay. Shuttle form a private company was great and convenient, 10 dollars a person at the time of our cruise, arrived in plenty of time for the cruise and dropped off at the ship. |Rooms clean, cool and quiet, top floor pool side.|Staff great. Friendly and knowledgeable. |Now the bad. I know it’s a hotel but, we stay for a quick and convenient breakfast. It’s no restaurant breakfast but, the offerings are usually good and filling. Not this stay. Poor selection and limited. No danish or muffins , no biscuits or gravy. If you like toast and to make a waffle it’s great. Everyone in our group hated the breakfast . Lucky Burger King is across the street.

We had an awesome stay at Homewood suites. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Amanda R. At the front desk was so helpful and knowledgeable of all the amenities. The breakfast was absolutely delicious.

I had a great two night stay here. The woman at the front desk was great-wish I had gotten her name! The rooms were nice and comfortable and quiet. Housekeeping is every other day, but they give you plenty of towels and you can always ask if you need anything. I would stay here again if in the area.

The staff checking in was nice. Very helpful and explained everything about cruise parking and shuttle (they cater to the cruisers very well). The outdoor pool and bar area is one of the nicest at a Hilton outside the resorts. We checked into our room and the TV in the bedroom didnt work. Called down to the front desk 3 times to no answer. Finally went down. They sent someone from maintenance up. He determined the TV was dead. Since he could not replace it they moved us down 2 floors to a different room. We packed up all our stuff and moved. When we got down there the bathtub looked like a crime scene. There was red dried spots all over the bottom of the tub and the covering on the tub floor was peeling off. Called down to the front desk again and let them know. Instead of waiting we walked down. As we came into the lobby we heard "yeah they are complaining again". Like having a working TV or a bathtub that didnt look like it was a CSI episode was too much to ask. The maintenance person went up to our room and came back down and immediately went into the back room. He came out a few minutes later and told us that obviously that bathtub should not be used, however, they didnt have another room. So we could stay in the bathtub horror room and then in the morning could go back to the first room and shower. We declined this and just went back to the original room and slept there. The maintenance guy did say that because of the trouble he just talked to the manager and they would comp our room. We stayed with the non-working TV and it was fine. The rub, however, is that the manager never did comp our room. We paid with Hilton points and they where never refunded. I reached out to Hilton, they said I had to call the hotel. Ive called the hotel twice and left messages and never heard back. Shame cause the hotel had potential but with there being two problems in two rooms and no follow-up on promises, not worth the trouble to stay there.

We stayed here for a couple days prior to a cruise. This hotel was amazing! First, it’s easy to get to right when you get to town. It’s incredibly close to the ports, but also to Hertz if you need to return a rental car like we did. The room was great and clean. Best was the staff; in particular one employee helped me with a couple things. She also suggested a MUCH cheaper rate for shuttles than what I had previously booked. I absolutely will stay here again if I’m back!
