Don’t stay here. The two front desk girls are the nastiest women I’ve ever made contact with. They talk to us like we are subhuman. They don’t have any customer service experience to speak of. They talk to my wife and I like we are dogs, saying this or that better be fixed when their maintenance guy doesn’t know anything about maintenance and they have us living in less than liveable conditions! We’ve been here without a working refrigerator for almost a year, the toilet rocks, the kitchen sink leaks, the A/C condensates back into the room, the window doesn’t open, things are leaking into our rooms from above because yet again, the maintenance guy doesn’t fix anything. He makes out the issues as though the tenant is the cause of the problems with the room and then doesn’t fix the issue. There are also cockroaches that have found our way into our room from the walls. We don’t have bugs! This place is nasty, the room was broken down when we got here and they want to charge $1,675 a month!

Rooms are okay, not cleaned thoroughly before each guest. Microwave had a Tupperware container and a bunch of caked on food. Everything else was clean though. Toilets aren't the best. Clogged 3 times, 2 of which caused flooding. Office is open from 11am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. They ask for your ID for a plunger because people keep stealing them. Shower dripped constantly. I can't complain too much since PADS of Lake County was paying for it and my fiance and I are grateful they helped us.

Worst terrible place to ever stay. The place is dirty and the rooms are wacky. They kept charging my card for no reason. Very rude personal. Druggies everywhere in the building don’t ever stay here

This was the worst experience in my life. I will most definitely read reviews from now on. The service was horrible. I booked a room for 7 days requesting two beds. I had 5 people with me and when I checked in they gave me a room with one bed. I went back to the front desk and explained that I requested a two bed room and was told we do not have any rooms available with two beds. I informed the lady at the desk that I had my son, my daughter and two grandkids with me and there was no way I could sleep 5 to that small bed. I then asked for a refund so that I could go and find a room that could accommodate my needs. I was told that I would need to contact the third party I booked with. After contacting them they advised that they would assist me. The front desk was not taking their call. This was on a Saturday and the office is closed on Sundays. I waited until Monday to return to request to check out because I had to obtain another room and they refused to allow me to check out. I stated that I didn't care about the refund any longer and just wanted to check out because I wouldn't be staying there and the lady at the desk denied it. This was ridiculous. I wasted $400 on this room that just sat there empty for a whole week because they refused to check me out. I had to spend another $700 just to have a decent place to stay for me and my family. DO NOT BOOK here unless you are extremely desperate. The pictures online are not a true depiction of what you will see.

Absolutely the worst place to stay I got robbed of my 100 dollar deposit, because of property damage and smoke! We smoked outside the whole week! Then the next excuse was we ruined a towel that was ours in the first place, then it was that we damaged the siding by knocking off the cherry to the cigarette wipped away easily not damaged. They came up with every excuse in the book yo not refund my money I finally just said I'm done lol they gave us a room that had bugs on the floor a broken bed and a garbage bag stuck to the wall lol absolutely disgusting we left the room cleaner than it was when we checked in and got robbed of the deposit money don't go here!

Clerk asked if I wanted to see room before I stayed. Red flag!!! I checked room out checked for bugs on mattress lifted sheet mattress had mold/mildew on it. Enough said! People staying there looked like they was on drugs or whatever. I booked with Priceline which i contacted and hotel will not give my money back. This place is not only filthy nasty but thief’s. There is no way this place should be on any booking sites. Wish I toke pictures to post.

My spouse and I stayed here for over a year and a half when I was having some terrible difficulties and tragedy in my life. For a while, the only good things you could say about the place was that Jorge and Essence were fairly laid back. They let me take my cats with me, which is nice because I doubt a couple of cats are going to do anything to this place that hasn't been done. Pretty much all the fixtures are ruined, the place is heavily populated by homeless the state puts up and folks down on their luck. Not all are bad, but many are throwing used condoms and drug needles everywhere. The favored pastime of the crackheads is to play steal the Walmart shopping cart and throw it into the retention pond. One person said he lifted the sheets and looked at the mattress. I recommend not doing that, as this is also a cheap hotel that people use for....well, you know. A problem is that almost none of the cooktops work and people go around when they think there's nobody in the room and break out the windows to sneak in and swipe your stuff. While I was there, someone threw a trash can over the rail and into someone's windshield. The more recent pictures show that the motel appears to have stopped washing the sidewalks and you can see how gross things are. Not that they were great. They let trash pile up sky high and there was vermin everywhere. The reason we stayed was lack of alternatives and the fact that they were only charging ~$1,000 a month with all utilities. The HVAC was just an air conditioner. Ours smelled like someone set fire to a dog when we turned the heat on. I had to get space heaters. It got very cold in the winter because the air would just blow straight through the door. When the state started using this flophouse to shelter the homeless, the management increased the rate by ~33% and we found an apartment. This place is rough. As soon as we left I canceled my debit card because I've read about people who continued to get charged past their stay. Years back the city was out there (actually the police are there every day) writing deficiencies for safety, fire hazards, garbage all over the place. Maybe they "came to an arrangement with the inspector" because it was never fixed as far as I know. Whenever we're looking to book a hotel I always use Red Roof and Hometowne Studios for the "LULZ". If you dare stay at this place, my only advice is to LITERALLY EXPECT ANYTHING.
