I was slightly disappointed with the service. Mim our waitress was nice, but we had sat ourselves as the sign instructed when you entered and were asked to move to another table. We ordered our food, but when my food came out, we were told what my wife ordered was not available. This should have been told to us before my food came out. Food was pretty good for as late as it was. I would recommend, but go a little earlier.

Amazing service and food. Great atmosphere and very nice staff. The marinated chicken was the best I've ever had!!

Hometown Kitchen describes the restaurant well. It's a family restaurant/bakery with 'home-cooked' Pennsylvania-Dutch food and more. My breakfast was expertly prepared. The breads and home fries were fantastic! The menu has a variety of local foods. Pot pies, scrapple, fruit pies, chicken along with soups, salads, subs and even some seafood options. This is a great place to experience Lancaster County cooking! You will not leave hungry!

Very lovely Amish women will serve you the finest meal. Their menu is quite large, they are like a diner but Amish style! Its almost like home made. My most favorite thing i have ever tasted in my life is in their kitchen... Cream Broccoli 🥦 Soup. Deserts... unspeakable. Delicious. They have a whole variety and its 2 to 3 times cheaper than an average diner cheese cake which is like 7 bucks, here you can get a regular for under 4 bucks. But their deserts vary, nothing expensive at all. Let these images of food I got speak for themselves. I also included all their menu pages too. *UPDATE* Service is still top quality and food quantity Is over the top. You will take home and enjoy it at home too for such a low price for today's economy. Highly recommend still!

Great home cooked food. Lunch until closing or dinner after 4. Very unique tabled from tree slabs, neatly painted mural walls and the rest is pretty basic. A relief from all of the buffets. No buffet, order off the menu only. A little out of the way but worth the drive.

I ordered takeout and didn't eat in. The girl on the phone was lovely and even when I went to pick up my foods, all the ladies were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was immaculate. So quiet, so clean, not crowded. I was impressed. And the food being served looked so delicious, I couldn't wait to have mine. I ordered the ham balls with pineapple sauce, which I never would have ordered before, but I've been open minded and adventurous lately, wanting to widen my palate, the roast beef, mashed potatoes, baked potato, pepper slaw, broccoli and cauliflower slaw, sweet potato fries, and the shoofly pie. Let me tell you, in NJ/NY all that food would have cost like $60. It was only $45. Plus, the food was amazing. Well, turns out I could do without roast beef, but nonetheless, I loved everything.

Pro tip: Go on a Friday to get their special, the Amish wedding meal. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is quaint and the food is amazing. It’s best to go after 6pm on a Friday as the crowd is usually thinning out by then. I also recommend sitting in the back room so you can look at the wall paintings while you eat… I spot something new every time we go. Lastly, ask for rolls and put their red jelly on the rolls. Amazing.

Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I’m obsessed with a good breakfast. I went to the. Hometown with my two sons the restaurant was sparkling clean, and the smell of fresh baking bread greeted me. The breakfast was outstanding and massive. My older son had sausage, gravy and potatoes. He had cherry pie à la mode for dessert, and I should know that there is a wide selection of pies. My younger son join me and having eggs, bacon, home, fries, and toast. The food was delicious, plenty, full and well priced. The help was kind and efficient. Coffee and water were kept full throughout the meal. This is an Amish run business and I did not take photos out of respect to employees and other people eating in the restaurant, I will definitely be coming back and can’t say enough about the quality of my meal.
