Homestead Motel - Motel in Lakewood - 8837 W Colfax Ave, USA

Stay 6-8-09 at a rate of $45.00 which included tax for one person. The carpeting was stained and worn badly. The do have cable TV with 51 channels which was good. The room is rather dated but for the most part fairly clean. I used my travel sleeping cover to make sure that I slept without worrying about bed bugs. The shower work okay except the drain was clogged and overflowed into the bathroom floor. I know you get what you pay for so I did expect more but a little better would have been nice. As a reminder if you stay here the first time do not be surprised to have a knock on your door 9:30 at night from the long time tennants asking for gas money. This happen in my situation. The location is good and the surrounding area is nice. Good Luck

My wife and I stayed in one of there double queen beds with kitchenette. I paid $45 including tax. Nice new beds, got the perfect amount of softness while retaining that bounce effect. :p||Bathroom was clean, towels didn't smell bad.||The beds alone are worth staying. the wife was happy..

It has been quite a while and I know live in a 1905 house and believe there are ghosts there and made me remember my stay there at the Homestead Motel. My boyfriend and I slept in one of the rooms upstairs closer to the office and when we woke the next morning the towel rack was completely out of its brackets, towels still hanging on the bar perfectly, but balancing one end on the window sill and the other on the bathroom counter. Just balancing. The deadbolt was on the door and no access to the room, there was that glass block in the bathroom.......Just wanted to share that and wondering if anyone that has stayed there experience anything abnormal. Thanks.

The owners keep the place well maintained, they have washers and dryers available for the people staying here. Room service every day. Clean rooms, the rooms are a bit small but i would recommend this place to anyone who os looking for a motel to stay at.

Bed bugs bad! Rude staff! The walk in your room every morning! No privacy! Dirty! Rude! Lady threatening to kick us out every day over nothing. WiFi works good and the hotel is quiet because they literally allow no guest

I called from a google search on my iPhone and arrived sight unseen. The proprietor refused to let me see a room. When I asked why, all he said is it's not our policy. They would refund if I didn't like it. Anyway, it looks about 40 years old with yellowed lampshades and repaired carpet. No deadbolt. Old but big TV. I found a syringe under the desk and a bracelet in clear view on the floor. I should have kept looking

We have been here 2 months due to financial hardship. Despite the fact that it is 220 a week for two adults and a dog, it is a quiet place and fairly good neighborhood behind us. However, we have BED BUGS in just about every room, nothing gets rid of them and mgmt and maintenance have both said if you don't like it find somewhere else to stay. It is awful, new bites daily, no water hot enough to kill them from the sheets, etc. and bombing only kills them for a couple weeks. Yes we have cable, and yes the bathroom and flooring are fairly clean... but it is sooo not worth it!

This was probably one of the worst morels I've been to in a long time. The room was pretty run down, the light in the bathroom didn't even work, and on top of that, the staff was incredibly rude. They think it's ok to just barge in and tell you to check out rather than even try knocking politely.
