This restaurant sources amazing ingredients, so all the food is spectacular. The decor is warm, charming, and old world without being outdated. The service is impeccable and not overly attentive. No loud music to scream over. Thomas ranks at the level of celebrity chef, but he is approachable, and very nice.

My wife made arrangements for a one night stay to celebrate my birthday and it was great! The Inn is beautiful and is surrounded by more incredible properties. Our room was very spacious and comfortable but could use a little updating. The service from start to finish was first rate and the food at the Thomas Henkelmann restaurant for dinner & breakfast was exquisite! There is plenty of parking and all of the great shopping that Greenwich has to offer is only a few minute drive away. We have added the Homestead Inn to our "must return" places!!

We stayed four nights beginning Dec. 23 while visiting family and friends in the area. What a lovely stay for the holidays! Our room (suite 124) was beautiful and comfortable. Uniquely decorated with interesting pieces from around the world and incredibly comfortable chaises for our reading/watching pleasure in the sitting room. The Inn itself is beautifully decorated throughout, mixing the classic New England Inn vibe with more of proprietor Teresa’s amazing collection from her worldwide travels. The downstairs sitting room was beautifully decorated for the holidays, including a gorgeous Christmas tree, and provided a relaxing setting for morning coffee and reading or for family pictures before dinner. We enjoyed a great dinner at the Thomas Henkelmann restaurant on Christmas Eve: lobster ravioli, asparagus, salmon, halibut, apple strudel all very nicely prepared. Breakfast in the beautiful windowed porch was excellent (with great service from Louis). All in all a great experience. Everyone made us feel wonderfully at home in this beautiful Inn!

Perfect dining experience. Beautiful settings. The presentation of the food is outstanding, every item on the plate has a special touch. Great service of course. Deserts are home made, fresh, and delicious. Feels like home!

My husband and I went to the Homestead Inn in November to celebrate our anniversary. The inn is so charming, the people there were so friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. We had a corner room with a sitting room attached in the main inn. So much old world charm with modern amenities. The dining room has a great sunroom where we had breakfast, and there was so much attention given to everything from the table settings to the warm milk they provide with your coffee. Loved every minute and hope to go back soon.

Given the current travel restrictions, we opted for a long weekend at the Homestead Inn.||Check-in was a little slow as the front desk associate was on the phone and was unaware we arrived. Once she noticed us she was very friendly and confirmed our stay details. We booked this long weekend a week before so the only room available was in the Carriage House.||Our room was on the first floor of the carriage house and we actually preferred staying here as compared to the main house. The main house where Thomas Henkelmann restaurant is located is very noisy and busy. We arrived to the hotel late on Saturday and went to the bar for a snack and a drink, and the place was packed with people waiting around for other diners or until their table is ready. The Carriage House was a great reprieve for the noise and even on the first floor we never heard anyone else. Our room was a good size and well appointed with all the amenities that you would expect from an upscale inn. It was also nice to have daily housekeeping, some other hotels we’ve stayed at in the area have housekeeping on demand. ||We had dinner one evening at Thomas Henkelmann and breakfast each morning. We went on a Monday for dinner and the food and service were outstanding. Where we really found the personalized service of the inn was breakfast. Aside from the weekend, we were the only guests at breakfast. Since we were there for a few days we got to know our waiter Luis (sp?), and let me tell you he was great. One morning my partner wanted to sleep in so I went to breakfast alone and just as I’m leaving my partner wanted a latte and an English muffin. I placed my order with Luis and mentioned that I would wait and carry it myself, he said absolutely not that he would bring it to our room and I shouldn’t have to wait. Luis was a true gem, he was also at our dinner service one night and despite not seated in his section, he made sure to keep checking in with us to see how we were doing.||Overall we had a great stay at the Homestead Inn and will return, perhaps once the weather gets warmer. The staff always wore masks and we saw common services being cleaned regularly. ||The only negatives were the bar had limited hours on the weekdays and was closed the Sunday we were there. As we live in NYC and took a car service to and from the hotel we had to walk into town, while not a far walk, it is impossible to do at night as part of the walk there are no sidewalks. The Delmar Greenwich has a hotel car that will drop you off in town, I realize the Delmar is a larger hotel but since so many people from NYC visit it would be a nice addition by the inn. ||Bottom line we will return. There is a great patio that would be fun to try in warmer weather.|

Restaurant was excellent, unfortunately, the Inn was outdated, therefore, overpriced (for about $300 a night on weekdays). The furniture were too big and overcrowded the small room, bath tub was old, and decor/style was questionable. Also, there were way too many artificial plants and flowers throughout the Inn. Service was great and we enjoy our meals. We would love to come back... just for the food.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Incredible food and exceptional service. Astly, the bartender is worthy of a visit to the bar. He is extremely knowledgable and a very interesting conversation is to be had with him at any given time. Our last trip into the Homestead Inn was for my birthday dinner. Delicious! The setting is tasteful and perfect for an intimate dinner or with a group of friends. Not to be missed!

Spent lots of time here while we were visiting. Kids loved watching for turtles. Paths were great for sunset bike rides. Lots of beautiful greenery and water. Lots of great benches and spots to hang out and enjoy some quiet time.

One of my favorite places. This place is filled with crazy energy. A great place to meditate and get positive from nature. A wonderful place to walk with the family, walking with dogs is allowed. At the top of this park there are parts of Mr. Ernest
