Homestake Lodge - Lodge in Whitehall - 530 Upper Rader Creek Rd, USA

Lovely lodge that sits on an extensive network of well maintained and marked cross country ski trails. We rented the yurt for a unique ski in/out glamping experience. The yurt was well stocked, secluded, and more comfortable than any forest service cabin we've ever rented. We skied in the morning, hauled our gear into the yurt when they notified us it was ready, and then went back out to explore more trails in the afternoon. The owners couldn't have been any nicer and everyone on the staff that we interacted with seemed genuinely happy to be there. If you're looking for a unique overnight adventure, consider a stay at Homestake Lodge.

I had the opportunity to stay here last July for two nights with a friend. Our host Lauren was terrific. The location is incredible - surrounded by mountains with amazing views from our cottage. The evening starlight is a must see. I would recommend taking the trails offered on site over those nearby. I would highly recommend.

I cannot express how wonderful our wedding weekend was. Lauren was so easy to work with and answered all of our questions quickly. The venue was absolutely gorgeous. When items were not available or when concerns arised, she always had alternative options or local resources to assist with our needs (support your locals!). The overall service provided was a rustic, genuine Montana experience (something we wanted our guests to enjoy as much as we do) while also providing services which made the day smooth and easy- space for rehearsal, ceremony, reception, and lodging for friends and family.

We stopped in for only one night and sure wished we had time for more than one night. We were in Smith Cabin and it was perfect for our family if 5. Cabin was clean and the location is perfect! We loved the trails and took a nice sunset hike. The kids enjoyed watching the white cat wander. If I could redo my wedding, I would pick this spot!

First visit, just to check out the trails. Got a little tour of the lodge. Beautiful place and location, had a little kitchen that serves some good sounding food and drinks, and owners were super friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to frequenting this place throughout the year.

This was a beautiful place to visit, and the lodging is quite nice. The downside is management tied to raise prices when we said we were planning a wedding there. They told us one price for renting the area. Then, after we told them about it being for a wedding at the end, the lady called back a week later and raised the price of $3000.00. Then when we stayed there still interest in the place but not happy the caretaker kicked us out in the morning after agreeing to stay another night before because our kids were to loud....when no one else was there. Loved the area, and the land is awesome, but you can just camp close by to get that and not be treated horrible.

We had my daughters viking wedding there and it was perfect! All lodging accommodations were amazing. Hosts were extremely helpful and easy to work with.

Just spent three days at Homestake Lodge (both rooms in main lodge). The space was perfect for our group of 17. Location was great. Private but not far from town or other activities. Owners were great and helpful with anything we needed. Will definitely keep in mind for the future.
