Very good views, especially at sunset/sunrise. Also has restrooms there and overlooks the bay, has teloscopes there to look through and is a good place to stop and look at all the scenery and nature available for viewing. (Pic is of sunset)
Always a pleasure to stop here! i've been enjoying my visits to this spot for over 40 years! Beautiful view, and, now, they're doing a fantastic job with keeping the area clean, and the flower beds wonderfully cultivated!
Talk about a great first impression of Homer! From the Homer Overlook you can see Homer Spit, distant mountains, Kachemak Bay, and Cook Inlet. The flowers around the parking lot are beautiful too, so make sure to see them all. There are Bald Eagles flying around daily, so look in the direction of the restrooms first for them. Plenty of parking for vehicles and large RVs. Not a bad spot for lunch.

Beautiful view. Specially when the sun is shining and it's not raining. Homer spit looks amazing from here. The drive to get there is also great. Don't forget to try Halibut when you get there.

Loved visiting this unique saloon! I went earlier in the day, so it wasnât packed. You can easily spend hours in there just reading the messages left on all the dollar bills. Fun and bubbly bartender, make sure to get one of their awesome hoodies!
