First time at a Home2 Suites! ||Check-in: The lady at reception did not acknowledge me as an HH guest, did not provide hours for breakfast (they close breakfast promptly at 9am, rather than 10am - (which is what I'm used to at Hampton Inns and I missed it one morning), did not offer complimentary water, and was just a little bit surly. ||The room: I booked the larger suite because it was the only king room available when I reserved. The entrance and kitchen area are HUGE! I wondered why so few dishes and utensils were available, but by about day 3, I realized that most of these items were in the dishwasher from a previous guest. So I added the few that I used to that load and ran it again. Speaking of the kitchen, if you like creamer for your coffee, pick up some up at the coffee bar in the lobby. The creamers that were in my room had solidified. ||The unit was sparkling clean with a comfy bed and two very large TVs. As for the bed, I kept thinking something was weird about the blanket. By the end of my stay, I took a closer look and figured out what was so weird. It was a very worn dust ruffle! I am taking off one star for this! I am still scratching my head as to why a name brand hotel would repurpose old worn dust ruffles for blankets. ||It was an okay-to-good stay, but I will return to the Hampton Inn across the street on my future travel to Troy.

No keys were working after the crowdstrike outage and the staff was working tirelessly to make sure everyone was able to make it to their rooms by unlocking all of them manually. I'm not saying our stay was perfect but we greatly appreciate the effort the staff took to make sure that our party were all able to get into our multiple rooms and if we have the chance I do think we will be back.

Horrible customer service. The manager, Stephanie, refused to refund one night after our car broke down en route and we stayed at another Home 2 in Indianapolis. Hilton heartlessly took advantage of people stuck in a horrible situation. Not only will we not be staying at this hotel, but will be switching away from Hilton after 20 plus years of patronage. Your claims are false. We called the hotel front desk that night to let them know we would be arriving late and then called again moments after we had car trouble. No one was able to help us, and we were instructed to call back the next day. We never used the app; only spoke directly with the front desk. The manager hid behind a lackey and would not even speak to us directly. Don't worry about us "moving forward", because you will not be involved. Thanks for showing your true colors. Apparently, the customer is never right.

We almost didn’t stay at this hotel due to the reviews and the fact that there were no reviews in 2024. I’m glad we did. The hotel has welcoming staff who were responsive to needs, it was spotless, and the room clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spotless with excellent bath products.

Went to the hotel and the service was so bad. The workers were so rude and when I went inside the room, there was bugs and it was so dirty and it was so smelly and I would definitely not come here again. I will read the zero stars this is the worst hotel I’ve ever been to please who is ever reading this and who’s about to go to the hotel do not go here ever.

Sad to say that this experience was not as good as previous times when we've used Home2Suites for family visits. The rooms and facilities are outstanding (new and nicely decorated rooms, indoor pool, good gym that includes dumbbells and a cable machine), but it seemed as though they were perhaps going through some staffing issues. The guy that checked me in was smoking in jeans and a tattered hoodie (I thought he was just a guest) on the front patio and walked in behind me trailing a the smell of his cigarette (and I'm not particularly sensitive to this; it was just really strong). He then proceeded to misspell my first AND last name (it's an admittedly unusual name, so I spelled it for him multiple times), which was only significant because the WiFi requires the guest's name for logging in. Hard to do when the name is misspelled. Not sure why ID was not required as it seems to be at most hotels these days (which would have resolved the spelling issue). And when we extended for an additional day, the rate had jumped from $139 to $189 and that new rate was not disclosed to me, nor did it include our Hilton Honors discount. For that, I will share some blame; I should have asked. But I also expect that a rate change would be disclosed at the time we extend. When I grumbled about it, the response was "sorry about that." That's it. When I asked if the desk clerk would be willing to do anything about the confusion, they did credit me $20, so I'm grateful for that. But all around, the facilities were great and the service was.... Not. We'll look around elsewhere for future family visits, and then go into it eyes wide open if we choose to give our business to Home2Suites in the future. It really is a nice place to stay, but there are a lot of good competitors in Troy with another coming soon.

Great hotel! I stay here for work when I’m in town and I highly recommend. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

Spotless. Great staff. Up to date fixtures and furniture. Comfortable bed. Small hotel market of quick food, water, beverages. Easy walk to Walmart if you want more.
