This review is going to look strange given how many good reviews this hotel has collected. I don't rush to bash businesses online after a bad experience, but a sufficient amount of time has passed since I reached out to management and received *no reply*. I was by myself just passing through and brought no pets. Don't smoke or vape, etc. Upon check-in, I was asked to sign a form that said I wouldn't have parties or make a mess. OK, sure! However, I found the room to be inhospitable. First, I noticed a strong musty smell (like wet dog). Next, I found hair in the bathroom, especially the shower, so I turned it on briefly to rinse it out. Upon walking into the room, I heard a loud continuous buzz from the wall opposite the bed. After checking that it wasn't coming from my room, I called the front desk and asked to change rooms knowing that it would probably keep me awake. The attendant that checked me in said that because I turned the shower on I'd be charged for the room change because "housekeeping isn't available to tidy the room again." OK, but I turned the shower on because the room wasn't tidy! Anyway, as the evening progressed, I noticed that the carpet definitely had not been vacuumed in a while. My socks were full of short pet hair of varying colors as well as longer hair. Pet hair was also on the couch, the nightstands, not even the tv remote was spared! I also know the floor hadn't been cleaned because *I found a dog bone at the foot of the bed.* If the attendants/staff are going to badger new guests about not making a mess and being quiet (no parties!), then the room ought to be quiet (it wasn't) and clean (it wasn't).We need to demand better from Hilton. Hilton refunded my stay, but the lack of communication from management is enough reason to leave a review here.

On paper, this place is fantastic. The rooms have kitchens, theres a pool, free hot breakfast, pet friendly, I mean it's got it all really. First and foremost, I can't speak for all of the staff, but Joe is the worst hotel front desk agent I've ever had to deal with. We requested such a simple reservation edit, and since it was past the deadline he was unwilling to help, even though he was more than capable of doing so. Then you get to the rooms. They COULD be nice, but it's like they are being ran into the ground with very little maintenance. One of our wall lamp switches were broken, there's a bunch of moisture cracking going on around the A/C, there are tiles falling off again due to moisture at the bottom of the shower, there's a nice crack starting to take form under the microwave, the ottoman has seen better days as it's upholstery is extremely worn. I mean again, the rooms COULD be nice, the features are here, but they need to do better with taking care of them. We travel a lot, and even though we are coming back to Cleveland in just a couple of months, we will not be staying here. Even if the rooms were perfect, Joe would be enough to make me get a room right across the street.

We visited on a Saturday night where they were completely booked. But every employee we interacted with went above and beyond every time. Will definitely stay again when we are in the area. And the breakfast is phenomenal!

My husband&I just stayed for 2 days for our 15th wedding anniversary trip and it was absolutely perfect room was great location was amazing not far from everywhere we wanted to go!!!!! From float down river, cuyahoga falls national park for waterfalls to stores, gas stations, everything was perfect we will definitely be returning to this hotel and location 😀 😄

Definitely not what we expect from a Hilton. We didn’t even photograph all the things wrong with the room, these are only a sample. Hilton properties are often our brand of choice because they are usually clean and well taken care of. Definitely not the case for this location.

The service at Home 2 was great. The receptionist Michael was able to book me the last room at 1 am. She was a lifesaver. The room was very clean and quiet. Would highly recommend!

Great staff! We came in town for a funeral for three nights. My kiddo dropped and broke a plate, he was very embarrassed, Steve at the front dest came over cleaned it up, cheered him up, and even made him a new waffle! The next day my son dropped his switch games down the elevator crack and Deon took our information to mail them back the next time the elevator is serviced. Will definitely stay at the hotel again!

I stayed here for one night so that I could go to my best friend’s graduation at Kent. It was a wonderful experience the entire time. On the day I was supposed to leave for home, I dropped my keys in the elevator and they fell into the crack, down the elevator shaft. Absolutely horrible experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help me try and get my keys back. One of the employees stayed well past when he should have and missed out on a family event just to help me. Eventually the girl working the front called in her family and they were able to come in and get my keys. This was the kindest experience I have ever had in such a rough situation and despite how inconvenient/time consuming it was, the hotel staff stayed so kind and understanding. The staff is so genuine and go above and beyond even when they shouldn’t. 12/10 experience.
