Home2 Suites by Hilton Richmond Hill Savannah I 95 - Featured Reviews (789)
When my dad was looking for a place, this place looked good, but once I got into my room, the carpet had a sticky feeling and once I walked around I realized my feet were black/dirty. Not to mention me and my family were staying here, and the shower door wouldn’t close all the way at all. The shower was dirty and I saw some mold on the walls and some underneath the sliding door. I had to walk around in crocs. The bed was okay but I would say the pillows are not the best. Breakfast was like breakfast at any other place. I honestly don’t recommend staying here.
Loved our in transit stay at this Home2 Suites. Easy access from I95. The staff was over the top friendly, rooms very nice and clean. Typical complimentary breakfast boosted by, I think, whole grain waffle mix for the irons. Overall great experience, we would happily stay here again!
Stayed here about a week ago for just a night to get some sleep before finishing our drive to FL. It was a very cozy room with a nice small apartment kind of set up, and the breakfast had a good amount of options and was very yummy. Service we received was nice as well and the staff was very accommodating and attentive.
We went here because we saw that they had a indoor pool and other amenities that I liked. They let us check in early with no issue but when we got our bags and came through the back door; we couldn't find the elevator and the receptionist looks at us and says are you checking out? Huh? We just checked in WITH YOU and we need to know where the elevator is. We finally get to the room..we had 2 beds and a sofa bed. Housekeeping was very rude and acted like she didn't speak English when I asked for something but I heard her earlier speaking English. We tried to get extra covers and pillows and they said they didn't have anymore. The room phone was broken and we went downstairs to get another phone and he says the phones are basically a prop. He said that you can't even dail out and left to find another phone in other rooms and he realized that more phones were broken. The TV only has 48 channels on them and it's the basic TV so bring your own entertainment. The pool area smelled horrid and the water looked dirty..The money that you spend on these rooms isn't worth it.
Overall great experience at a great price for a stop over traveling the 95. Staff was professional and courteous. Breakfast was as expected with premade sandwiches and waffle station. Location was clean and well maintained. I only stayed long enough to sleep and have breakfast but everything went well including the 230am check in.
TLDR: the place is nice enough, but book somewhere that doesn't extort its guests, like any hotel across the street.
Update: was refunded extra fees. Back up to 2 stars.
I made a reservation that was confirmed before the weekend. On Monday, I flew cross-country. When I arrived, they couldn't find my name. Oh, but they did try to call someone (my phone was on) because they canceled a reservation to accommodate a walk-in, possibly due to the flooding. Excuse me? Yes, that was my reservation (and likely others, due to the higher rate). The employees apparently can't see much in the system, so he was able to bump another reservation on my behalf. I'd still give 3 stars at that point. Except the other reservation was my boss, who arrived an hour later. Others of us used the neighboring hotels and did not have this problem.
General notes on the stay: everything in the room and breakfast area functioned. The vinyl bathroom walls are quite stained, towel had a gaping hole, room light fixture has a thumb-sized chip missing. Not sure why there's dish soap if no scrubbers.
The exercise room was good for resistance, as the elliptical clunks as it goes around, that and the bike are missing the heart rate monitors, and the Peleton simply does not turn on. No cups at the hydration station. Hence, 2 stars.
Otherwise, the room's AC worked, fan worked, and linens were neat and stocked.
Upon checkout, I gave them my email because the printer is down. I got no email. I checked my credit card and I was charged $60 more than my reservation. Again, the employees can't see anything so I had to leave a message. One star.
Staff was so very unpleasant and didn’t want to handle issues such as to fix the shower which would not run hot water. When we first entered the room, it had an awful smell as if a pet could have been in it and not properly cleaned. The bed headboard had greasy marks that I didn’t want to even guess what it was. This stay made me never want to use a Home2 Suites again. Go somewhere else!!! Don’t stay here!!!! There are always people playing the tv or music loud and shutting doors constantly. Need the warning. There are other hotels in this area!! They even charged my card twice over $500 and I have now have to dispute because they didn’t refund like they stated.
From check in to check out the staff was amazing and very accommodating giving us a 1st floor room since we had pets with us. We stayed for a few days and I was very sad to leave! The room was very clean and the staff amazing! Even when I asked for things they normally didn’t have at the time they went above and beyond to get it done! Would love to stay here again

The best damn coffee I have ever had at a breakfast spot. I've been a fancy coffee snob for the better part of half a decade and this coffee tastes like I had made a pour over with the freshest beans imaginable. It had a subtle sweetness, with notes
