My family and I were in North Charleston for a doctors visit. For some reason I had to stop by the desk to finish checking in. Not a big deal, I like to park strategically so I am close to an exit and my room. The gentleman at the desk was friendly upon checking in and accommodating upon my request for bed linens. The outdoor area and pool was nice.||As soon as we opened our room door, there was a very strong odor. Along with the odor, there was a random used wash cloth on the counter by the sink. The bathroom was clean but the shower gel dispenser was empty. We had five people staying in the room so we needed the couches pullout bed. No linens for the bed were in the room, had to go request them. Other than the dirty wash cloth, our room was pleasantly clean.||There is a nice selection for a typical hotel breakfast. I wish there was more fruit options but that’s a preference of all hotels and has nothing to do with the review and rating of this particular hotel. My son took a bottle of milk from the fridge and only took one sip. The milk was sour and ten days out of date. This was a disappointing visit as we have stayed at other Home2 hotels and had a great stay.

Checking in I listen to some ladies say that their room was dirty and the man argued with them that it wasn’t. When I finally got my room it seemed nice with a quick glance but closer look it was dirty, sheets was dirty, counters was dirty, smelled funny, a roach was on the wall above the door. As well food left from previous guest on the floors under the tables/desk. Most hotels they clean the rooms everyday but this one does it every other day. Having the employee break room in between guest rooms isn’t smart, walking by you can hear them talking bout guest. My bathroom had not been clean as well I didn’t ask for them to come clean it because I wasn’t going to argue with no grown man about what’s clean so I cleaned it myself. I was informed that cleaning staff left about 7:00pm so it was nobody there to do any cleaning so I ended up having to change the bed sheets. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. It needs to do a huge renovation and get a better cleaning service and new management Upon waking up it was worms and roaching crawling around and I have two small kids. Checked out a day early because this is disgusting and disappointing. This really is the worst hotel in Charleston

I would pass on this hotel. The room was not clean; there were stains and cigarette holes in the bedding, the walls were dirty and worst of all the smell of air freshener trying to compensate for other odors was awful. Breakfast sandwiches were ROCK hard all three mornings we were there. A lady was attacked in the parking lot one night we were there. I didn't feel comfortable in the area of the hotel or the hotel parking lot. Lots of people wandering around at all hours. Proximity to interstate made for a lot of road noise as well. The front desk staff was super friendly.

The good: cheaper than others in Summerville. Only about 5 years old. Free breakfast. Comfy beds. |THE BAD: |*had we not prepaid, we would have immediately left and gone to a nicer hotel. |*our room smelled like a mold infested basement. When we complained immediately upon entering. We were told there were no other king 1 bedroom suites available but they could move us to a regular king room. We needed a suite with separate rooms due to multiple adults in our group. No employee would come smell how bad it was and no offer to try and clean/spray/ refund, nor was any apology even was offered. We purchased and used a whole bottle of febreze , which didnt even help.|*The noise from the highway is deafening at all hours and is only partially masked by the extremely loud fans on the ac units. |* loud drunk people in the pool which was below our window, awoke us from 4am-5am. Took several calls to the front desk to get someone to get them removed from the pool area , which closes at 10pm. |* in our shower someone had removed the bottle of conditioner that was attached to the wall , so no conditioner, and the shower gel bottle was empty. Told house keeping and was handed a bottle of shower gel and never brought conditioner. |* coffee and tea station in room had no creamers.|* first night (a Sunday) poolside had a large party with loud music until about 2am. |This place is a definite NO! Reported multiple problems to front desk and got "yes we were made aware". That's nice, how about fix the problems?!?!?!

Checked in later in the afternoon. Keyless check in was cool-enjoyed the ease of that. Location was strange in my opinion. Was “close” enough to nearby fast food chains but nothing delivered to the hotel? It was unexpected to say the least. Room was fairly spacious and clean & easily accommodated my party of 6. Breakfast was probably a 1/5. Waffle mix needs some work. Breakfast sandwich’s were tasteless and/or hard (unusual being we ate when breakfast opened). Good thing cereal was also an option 🥴 and the juice was tasty 🤷🏾‍♀️. Stayed 1 night before a cruise-room was good for a quick stop.

The good: hotel only about 5 years old. Free breakfast. Comfy bed. The bad: *loud parties at poolside first night until 2am, then 2nd night loud drunk people in the pool at 4am- 5am. Took several calls to get front desk to answer and address the issue. * room smelled horrible immediately upon arrival. We had prepaid online for a king 1 bedroom suite and needed 2 rooms. When we asked to be moved they claimed to not have any other suites available but could move us to a regular king. That wouldn't have worked as we had 3 adults and needed separated rooms. Musty moldy basement smell. They did not offer to refund, did not try to clean it, not even an apology. We tried febreze but it didn't help. *carpets filthy and stained. * bathroom shower gel was empty and no conditioner. They gave us more shower gel but never brought conditioner * cleaning staff never picked up dirty towels outside our door. *loud ac fans in the room * super loud traffic noise day and night due to the highway directly in front. Spend a few more $$ and stay somewhere nice. The staff barely acknowledged the problems, did not try to fix anything and never even said sorry. This is a sad hotel for a Hilton.

Room was missing a desk chair. Ice machine only worked on first floor. Shortage of staff so people left garbage and dirty towels on the floor outside their door. One day was gone from 9 AM until 6 PM and no one cleaned our room. The phone in the room didn't work, so I had to go to the front desk to request clean towels. Free breakfast had a bad layout. Everyone was crowded in a small area.

Stayed at this hotel during a work trip to North Charleston. Great staff and very clean lobby and room. They we're able to provide me a hot plate. Nice patio área with two grills. Close to many restaurants. Breakfast Was good. Nice pool, didnt use it
