Great stay. Staff was fantastic. We added a day after already having a booking. They were able to accommodate us so that we wouldn't have to change rooms. Breakfast was good. Something for everyone and the breakfast staff were quick to answer questions and ask if there was any way they could help. Pool was very busy which we expected given the location and time of year. Everyone seemed to go to Legoland then back to swim in the evening. We were still able to play ring toss with our floating flamingo.

Hi! My name is Michael Hermelee, and I am a Team Member with Hilton. I recently stayed with the Home 2 Suites here in Middletown, NY for 2 nights, and it was a horrible experience. Ellien, an older lady who checked me in on Sunday evening, Aug. 25th, was very rude to me, stating "Step aside...I have a line.....She was not welcoming, and did not place me in a room I wanted. She did not go over the amenities of the property, nor did she present herself professionally. I called the Hotel earlier that day asking for a room on the 4th floor. They placed me on the 1st floor, switching me to the 4th a day later (a big inconvenience to a guest). The next morning, they were closing down the breakfast before 9am, and I visually watched how more guests were coming down a few minutes after 9 , and they were putting things away already. Bad customer service. The manager came up to me stating I was rude to her employee "Ellien" and my behavior was unacceptable. My original reservation was 4 nights and we switched it to 2. Today as my reservation was ending I asked for a late checkout at 12. I had booked 2 nights with my card and my father was helping extend the reservation 2 more nights. Around 11:45pm as I was sitting outside the Hotel a GSA approached me twice stating the manager asked if you can remove your stuff from the room. I said back twice....my father will be arriving in about 10 mins, to extend this. That GSA was rude as well saying out loud" You said this 10 mins ago" My father arrived around 12:05 pm and we tried to make a new 2 night reservation on my Go Hilton site. I did, this time booking a double, which means I WOULD HAVE TO MOVE AGAIN TO A NEW ROOM. The manager Lisa again came up to me stating, "I could have canceled this or said you cannot stay at this property anymore" "You show up here and try to run things" She gave me a bad look and passed back to the GSA at that specific time. At the time of presenting the new card, I decided to pack up and leave as I felt not welcome anymore. Instead of apologizing and thanking me for staying again, they were rude and disrespectful to me. I didn't appreciate it, as the room itself and the Hotel I enjoyed. To me Hospitality is the most important thing and like in a restaurant "The Guest is always right". The way this was conducted was bad, and it gave Hilton a bad look.

Close to Lego land, very convenient with everything local around. Had a great time but the area around the hotel has definitely changed. It does not feel as safe anymore, and I had a nasty encounter with another guest at the hotel that was threatening. I really loved this property but unfortunately will no longer be a selection for my family.

Great staff very friendly and professional. We really enjoyed our stay, it was an all around great experience! We had to leave early on our last day, well before breakfast was set up. Staff stopped us as we were skulking out and grabbed some breakfast items for my kids. Gestures like those are really appreciated.

We all enjoyed our stay here. The room was spotless and the beds were pretty comfortable. We got two double beds and a pullout sofa so the room was bigger than your average hotel room breakfast is served from 6 AM till 9 AM. It was pretty basic, but I also saw a waffle maker,. I wish it went a little later because being on vacation we like to relax in the morning. They did have 24 hour coffee /tea . I did take advantage of the gym which was really nice. We did not use the pool but it looked really nice. I have been here twice already. The galleria mall is within a mile amongst many restaurants and fast food.(McDonald’s, Burger King ,Wendy’s, sonic) just to name a few .Walmart is about 2 miles away.. this is a pet friendly hotel, but I never heard any dogs during our two nights day. |Overall, we had a nice day, and I would recommend if you are in the area

This is honest review. The cleam spacious room, close lovation to Legoland, friendly staffs were great BUT the breakfast is really bad. We have stayed at many Hiltons and this breakfast was the worst. It is crowded with no table, all breakfast things were microwaved and cold and even the bagel and cereal were stale. Waffle was a long line and the machine is not oiled. Nothing was really edible except coffee. Just come for the stay but not for the breakfast.

Positives: staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, the wait for checkin and checkout is minimal, the location is very good.  It is surrounded by parking lots and shopping plazas, and there are three restaurants and a beer store right next to the hotel property. Drive to Legoland is about 10-15 minutes, there are three  intersections with traffic lights before hopping on the highway.||||On the other hand, our first complaint is that room smelled like there are nanoplastic particles in the air, an odor from some artificial materials or furnishings, or like when you open a brand new cheap plastic or rubber mats.  This is a reason we won't visit this property again, especially concerned for the health of our kids. The fan in the bathroom doesn't work. Is it a humidistat issue? It must be as there are no switches to turn it on. Minor issues that aren't deal breakers: (1) towels in pool area were out and not resupllied, (2) treadmill in fitness room is only one and is too squeaky, plus there is no fan in the fitness room, (3) breakfast offers a decent variety but there aren't any fresh cut fruits, the hotel only offers whole green apples and stale oranges of the type that arent easy to peel. I expected it better for a single room where we pay almost $300 per night.

This was my first time staying in a Home2, and I was pleasantly surprised how homey and comfortable it was. We only stayed one night, but I can see how they've carefully considered the amenities people would want/need if they were staying long term. The hotel was super clean, the lobby was a great space for hanging out, and the staff was very friendly. Close to shopping and food, too. If you're looking for a clean, spacious room in a reasonably priced hotel, this is it!
