Home2 Suites by Hilton Joliet Plainfield - Extended stay hotel in Joliet - 4095 Hennepin Dr, USA

Very pleasant surprise! Our son and daughter-in-law, previous tenants in the West Loop of Chicago, purchased a house in Plainfield, IL in the fall. We were sad to leave our West Loop Homewood Suites/Hampton Inn property just off West Randolph Street, but understood the young couple's need for a house in the suburbs with a baby on the way. The Home2 Suites was a well-managed property. Breakfast was superior to the typical Hampton Inn, but not quite Homewood Suites level. The staff was amazing, and the location was great for us; less than 5 miles to the new house. My spouse liked the fitness center as did our older son, a hardcore fitness person and his wife, a triathlon competitor. If a property can, please those 2, the fitness center is in great shape. There are many restaurants in the near vicinity. Due to the property's location on the edge of a local mall , there is not much street noise at night. Quite a change from a near West Loop location with constant "road races", sirens and train noises throughout the night. We will miss the West Randolph Street restaurants. We will not miss the noise, the increasing number of "unhoused people" and security issues.

The hotel and the staff were phenomenal. Bruce deserves special mention for going above and beyond to make us comfortable while visiting the area for a funeral. The hotel was our getaway from the stress of what we were there for. Choose this hotel! My husband and I travel a lot and we stay in quite a few hotels. This is one of the Best!!

One of the nicest hotels I’ve been to. Room was clean and beautifully laid out. Amenities were awesome. Pool was clean, workout room had great equipment, there was even a fire pit out front. Everyone from the front desk crew to any employee I saw greeted me with a smile. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We had a nice stay here. It was just one night, but we had no issues. The rooms were clean and updated. They have a continental+ breakfast with the typical fare -- waffle machine, breakfast sandwiches, yogurts, cereals, juices, hot water for tea, coffee, etc, etc. Would definitely stay here again!

This is my first stay at this hotel and it is fantastic! Room is clean and quiet. What makes this different than other hotels is the level of service and offerings available. Bruce at the front desk made me feel so welcome and I can tell he is passionate about service. There are a lot of options for hotels near by but I am so glad I chose this one.

Even though they are pet friendly and I am extremely allergic to dogs...I have stayed here on multiple occasions & never had a problem....that is how clean this hotel is! The cleaning staff, front desk & food staff ALL do an AMAZING job. I almost want to keep this place a secret, but I have to give them their credit, they are GREAT!

From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, we could tell this was a well run property. Not only was it clean, but the staff really made a point to make us feel welcome. ||This is a newer property and, in recent years, won Hiltons' highly esteemed Connie Award. (We saw it in the lobby) The room was very nice and plentifully stocked withe soaps etc. Lately, this hasn't often been the case when we've traveled. The pool area was clean and temperature perfect. ||Breakfast was fresh and well stocked, although the hostess didn't engage too much. Such a missed opportunity to make those strong guest impressions if ya ask me. But she did keep the bar looking good! Bruce at the desk was a lot of fun. He took time to engage with the kids in conversation and offered some water for the road. The boys said, "Dad, he's the nicest hotel staff ever". We had a good experience at this hotel, which seems reflective of other Home2 Suites where we have stayed. All of the front desk staff members we interacted with were extremely pleasant and professional, and the breakfast was quite extensive for a "free included" breakfast. There was also plenty of seating in the breakfast area, which is always appreciated. Both our room and the hotel overall seemed clean and well attended to.
