Cleanest hotel rooms I’ve seen in a LONG time. Absolutely wonderful as far as being neat and clean. The front desk service was great and the breakfast was good.

Large clean room, very comfortable for two people with two queen beds. The room had a comfortable sofa, a large desk, and 2 large dressers. Although we didn't cook, the room is equipped with a large refrig, a dishwasher and sufficient amount of kitchen wares. We feel very relaxed in our room. Will definitely return.

Oct 2023 I asked for a clean room and when we arrived, it was! I really appreciated that (as was concerned after reading previous reviewers' comments on uncleanliness). Enjoyed comfortable bed and soft pillows just the way I like it. Room temperature is adjustable & comfortable. I appreciate the many different lamps inside the room so we can adjust the lighting that's sufficient to see for each individual's use. They've provided an iron when requested to press clothes to attend a wedding. Decor is modern. Convenient, safe, walkable to downtown center where restaurants, night lights, people are. Breakfast is included which is nice, liked the strawberry kiwi water, the egg omelette, also have fruits, make-your-own pancake, oatmeal, coffee; suggestion could improve on freshness of bacon and eggs & the McMuffin they're in could be crispier.

I stayed there with my college-age son on Sat and Sun, Nov 11th and 12th, 2023. The two front desk people who were on duty while we were there could not have been more helpful and friendly. My son was sick and we were both a bit stressed and worried about that. I went to the two on-duty people on several occasions with various needs and questions and they were always very cheerful and accommodating with me even when it was a busy time (like Sunday morning check-out). I hope they are appreciated and rewarded for their good-natured service. The cleaning person for our floor (3rd floor) was also very sweet and helpful. Aside from the people, the hotel was clean, the breakfast food was great, the beds were comfortable, and the clothes washers and driers worked well!

Great, but I wish they had housekeeping staff overnight. There was no hair dryer in my room, so I went to ask the front desk staff around 9pm and they said the whole hotel was sold out that night and they didn’t have access to the housekeeping room so I’d have to wait until 9am. Not a single housekeeping person in a large sold out hotel overnight? Seems crazy to me. When I went down to ask at 9am, they told me they’d send one up shortly and I told them I needed it asap. They came half an hour later as I was walking out the door and had no more time left to wait, so I went to my appointment with wet hair outside in the cold. It was annoying, but one blip in an otherwise good stay. The room we had was huge, the front desk was very friendly (and apologetic over the hair dryer issue) and the included breakfast was good. Overall we will be staying here again, but I need upper management to be willing to hire more staff.

Staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable and well stocked. Gym is set up well, indoor pool but I have not used. Free laundry. Nice breakfast, location is with a drive to multiple things.

Great overall location, but this hotel sits between a busy street and a produce distribution center. At 4:00 AM, the trucks were being loaded and it was super noisy. ||||The property condition is so-so with stains on hallway carpets and overall pretty banged up. I usually stay at The Omni or Hyatt when in C-Ville and will definitely return to one of those on my next visit.

We were not pleased with our stay and will not return. First the positives: Charlottesville was lovely and the hotel’s location was good. The room was clean and large. ||Now the negatives (of which there should be none):||The staff had to let us into the pool, which was cold. The halls had towels left on the floor outside people’s rooms (both days we were there). The elevator lobby on our floor had a trash can that was overflowing (both days). We only received one bottle of water, and a bag of popcorn. We stayed for 2 days and are Diamond club members. Usually we would at least be able to pick our own snack (for instance I cannot eat popcorn) but when we did and brought it to the counter, the person at the front desk instead handed us a warm water and no name brand of microwave popcorn. ||Most of the time at hotels we get a pantry credit of $10-$15 per day. The breakfast on the first day ended at 10. We assumed the same on the 2nd day- but when we came down at 8:50 to eat, they were shutting the curtains on the food. We asked why and they said ended at 9. I said I was unaware. The response “sorry”. In my profession if a customer is unsatisfied we would have said “but please feel free to pick a snack for your inconvenience.”. We pay thousands of dollars to be diamond members for a “so so” stay. ||The pillows were basically nothing. Sorry to be negative but I am just being honest so othered will know. In theatre they say “Every time like the first”, meaning every performance needs to be like the first show they do, because it is the first time people in the audience are seeing the show and should get the same experience. ||
