Home2 Suites by Hilton Calhoun - Featured Reviews (55)
We stayed for one night and it was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. My son loved swimming in the pool and was a great place for him to get a little energy out. There is fresh coffee in the lobby 24/7 and the breakfast was decent and perfect for a quick breakfast to eat and get back on the road. I would definitely stay again!
This place was fantastic. It's new, so that is nice, but the people and the amenities are also great. Special thanks to Kasey who was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. She is great at her job, so she is clearly a keeper.
The room was spacious and designed well. The breakfast, fitness center and pool are all good, too. Even the common areas was really nice. They had two nice outdoor spaces.
We loved our stay here in Calhoun at Home 2 Suites by Hilton. Our room was very spacious for the double queens and couch that was a pull out mattress. We are a family of five with pets and this was the perfect hotel for us. We actually wished that we could stay longer. The beds were clean and comfortable, the AC was nice and it had a full kitchenette for us. The lobby provided tea and hot water for those who arrive late at night and we loved our breakfast. Check out isn’t until 12 and breakfast lasts until 10. Right next to a Cracker Barrel as well if you happen to sleep in because the shades block out all of the sun! They have a gym and pool and the staff was amazing. We only wish it wasn’t so awkward to get out of the parking lot but it was well worth the stay and we will be returning. I’d give it more stars if I could.
We stayed at the Calhoun location for one night. After a long drive from South Florida, we decided to stop for the night. My husband checked us in and told the clerk we had our service dog with us. I had taken off her vest due to the extreme heat, so she did not have it one when we walked in the hotel but it was with me in my bag. Unfortunately, she must not have heard my husband say "service dog" and handed him a bunch of papers with small fine print to sign. He signed without reading all of the "fine print" of which must have outlined the fee.
We are Hilton Diamond members, so we have stayed at many Hilton hotels and have clearly spent a lot of money with Hilton. We have NEVER had this issue before. A few days later, we noticed the $75.00 fee charged to our credit card. We called the hotel clerk and explained the situation. She looked up our information and stated she was the clerk that checked us in. All she would say was, "well you signed the paperwork"! She was extremely rude and refused to waive the $75.00 fee, even after we told her the dog was a service dog. We even emailed her our service dog paperwork, as proof. She would not share the managers name when we asked for it and has now not responded to multiple emails about the charge, nor did she respond about the service dog paperwork I sent her. I'm extremely disappointed to have to resort to writing a bad review, but they have left me no choice. I'm not sure where to turn next, but maybe Corporate????
If you have service dogs or regular dogs, beware of this hotel!
This is the first review I have ever initiated, so this should show you how upsetting this is.
Very nice, new hotel. The building and property are very well maintained. The rooms and lobby are well appointed and decorated. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of hot and cold choices. The employees were very friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is the low flow shower heads. They were really terrible. Definitely a first world problem, but annoying nonetheless.
That small thing aside, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again.
Clean and Relaxing Hotel! So glad we chose to stay the night while on our way through. Staff very friendly. Room was clean with new amenities, lots of room for our family with 4 young children. Quiet location. Complimentary breakfast had a great selection! Would stay again and definitely recommend
Home2 Suites by Hilton Calhoun is newly built and has been opened for business for four months now. I have a few pictures to share but trust me it looks just like the pictures on the website (Excellent and Clean) so what is the point on posting. The building and the rooms are clean - carpet, bedding, furniture. The rooms are big with beautiful selection of wall colors. Bed is comfortable. Atmosphere/environment smells fresh. I didn't use the laundry room or weight room, but it was nice and beautiful. Staff very friendly and ethical. Breakfast and eating area were an A+. Food was good with a lot of selections to choose from. This H2S by Hilton Calhoun site has many restaurants to choose from near its site...Apple Bees, Longhorns, etc. We were here in March for a Sporting Event @ Sonoraville Recreation Complex.
Shower was missing soap dispenser packet. I guess room service doesn't check that. A little late to ask for soap when you are already in the shower.
Breakfast selection is a pretty poor selection. Powered eggs, greasy sausage Patty (no thanks), and seasoned potatoes (best item). Wanted to get a waffle too but with only one machine I kept having people jump up to start their waffle each time one was finishing.
No Ketchup for the potatoes..."truck didn't bring it"
I guess those ketchup packets take up a lot of space. Went to get some tea at checkout around 10AM but there was no hot water and nobody around to asked (just like breakfast). Understaffed and underwhelming service.
This was a lovely hotel to stay at. Clean, great choices for breakfast, and friendly staff all around. Calhoun is also a quiet, small area, as someone who is from Florida, it was a nice change. Would stay here again in the future.
We stopped here on our way to TN! December 12th. My husband had made a reservation on Travelocity and made it for the wrong day! So we called and asked if they could honor it for the night as we were almost there! The lady who answered said No, I wo

Absolutely loved visiting. Staff was super knowledgeable. Restrooms available and a vending machine for drinks. Pets are allowed as long as leashes but NOT allowed inside buildings. Beautiful area. Also as a side note yearly passes are available (for
We stopped on our way to Elijay to get some tacos.
They make great tacos, authentic Mexican flavor and big portions.
Highly recommend if you are in town.
I stopped here for lunch on the way to Chattanooga. I always like mom n pop places and Yellow Jacket did not disappoint! The servers are kind, attentive, and friendly, and knew all of the locals who came in by name! The restaurant was clean.
