This is my first time staying at Home2Suites near OAK. In the past I have stayed on the other side of the airport, but there are new hotels near the water (this being one of them) and I wanted to check it out. As usual, there are pros and cons.||Pros: It is so new, I can still smell the carpet glue. It is spotlessly clean without stains or wear. The mattress is average but new enough to be comfortable. There is a good amount of space and I always appreciate having a small refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. There is a breakfast provided as well. It is less than 10 minutes from OAK. ||Cons: I selected a waterfront view room, 4th floor. The view is truly the Hampton Inn next door. Just over their roof, I can see water. The best they can say is obstructed waterfront view. Not a big deal since you are likely staying here if traveling through OAK. There is not anything in walking distance. The delivery apps can bring you a wide variety of food. The bathroom has a problem that I have seen in other newer hotels; the toilet paper is 3-4 feet away from the toilet. Unless you are a human with a long reach, you have to grab the TP before you sit down. I could not reach it seated. ||Finally, I love checking in on the app and using a digital key. In this instance, the digital key did not work. The desk person on duty was very kind and brought me a hard copy. It did not work either. However, the employee key card did work. My choice was to either stay in the room now opened and ask for assistance to open the door anytime I left or downgrade to a lesser room. I elected to stay since I was just going to fly out the next morning. The employee was apologetic and helpful but it would have been appropriate to offer some sort of compensation whether it be HH points or something else. A gesture goes a long way in customer satisfaction. Maybe she did not have that kind of authority and Hilton is the one brand that has not taken such steps in the past. I travel a LOT. ||Over all, great location that feels safe with excellent proximity to OAK and polite staff. I will likely check out the Hampton Inn that is immediately next door the next time I come through.

No free parking, their wifi is horrible (charging for "premium" wifi in 2024? Really?), free breakfast has only one dairy free and gluten free option (oatmeal). Floors in my room were sticky in spots, The chair was broken, and some of the dishes were dirty still. Location is right outside the airport but the area itself is rather unsafe, which you can tell by all the signs literally everywhere telling you not to leave visible items in your vehicles. Staff was friendly.

To sum it up, this hotel was very good. Quiet, cozy, comfortable bed. I was worried about airplane noise, but I was wrong. Clean space, friendly staff, clean restaurant, good coffee, breakfast. I am satisfied.

Everything you'd expect from Hilton, except for food choices. As it's in a business park, weekends really limit your food choices, as there's no restaurant onside. There's a hotel shuttle that runs every 30 mins. to the nearby airport, but having your own car is recommended here.

The check-in staff person was professional and friendly. Our room was clean and roomy; the bed was very comfortable; the air conditioner was quiet. Traveling by car with a cooler, it was so nice having a full refrigerator with freezer! The breakfast room was stocked and clean, and provided numerous breakfast options. It would have been nice to have more regular coffee packets - two apiece instead of one. The lotion dispenser in the bathroom was either empty or plugged up as I couldn't squeeze any out. Overall, really nice accommodations!

I tried to check in at 2:42pm but they said the room wasn’t ready. I went back 20 minutes later and they said they weren’t sure if the ants had been taken care of or if it still smelled like bug spray. They said there might be another room ready with the water view like the original room I booked. When I got into that room I noticed an ant on the bathroom floor and another crawling on the towels. It also smelled like bug spray. I went back down to the front desk and I got a room without the water view and no ants and bug spray smell. I dropped off the bags and went out. When I returned that evening and went to turn on the TV the remote didn’t work. Front desk sent maintenance and after trying with another remote he left and front desk called to say he couldn’t fix it and offered to move me rooms, but at this point I was tired of it all and just stayed in the room without the water view and the broken tv.

Got a room for about 130 on super. Was really impressed by the staff and the rooms were stacked with a fridge, kitchenette with dishes/cups, a sleeper sofa, comfy bed. Hotel was clean. They have breakfast and snacks and booze in the lobby. Super happy with my stay there. Location is by the airport which was fine for me given I was going to a rave on the USS Hornet which was nearby. 10/10.

This hotel was great. You are greeted by friendly front desk staff when you walk into the modern lobby that looks and smells clean (but doesn’t have that disinfectant smell.) The rooms are also spacious, clean, updated, and equipped with a smart TV. The best part of my stay was the incredibly comfortable bed with SOFT sheets. I wish I had asked where they were from so I could get some for my own bed. I was expecting there to be significant noise due to the proximity to the airport, but the insulation is pretty good. (You can hear some airplane noise but is not disruptive to sleep.) Overall 5 star stay, would recommend this hotel.

The drip coffee was bold and had good flavor. My wife liked her matcha latte. We also had an Ube Mochi cake which was amazing. The staff were friendly and quick. I’ll be coming back here.

Nice and cool area with the breeze from the bay air. Perfect place for large and small dogs. Pretty bustling on the weekends with so many pups playing. There's always a trashcan within and reach to drop off the dookies.
