Holy Land Cafe - Mediterranean restaurant in Lenexa - 12275 W 87th St, USA

We have been here a few times and majority of times they have great flavor and good portion sizes! Definitely get their food platters, I had the number 11, very tasty. The only in thing I would say it’s not up to par is their taiko sauce tzatziki sauce. Unfortunately they don’t make it good, it tastes bland and heavy. That’s why I deducted a star but besides that amazing hummus, meats, dressing, pita bread, etc. check out my local review YouTube channel on BeanieswithRen 👍

As you walk in, it looks like a very small restaurant, but there's a huge room towards the back with plenty of seating. Service was no nonsense, and the food came quickly. The chicken/beef Shawarma #1 had great flavor. The pita was fresh and soft. The tahini was cool, crisp, and light. I was even a fan of the rice. When you are done eating, you just get up and go to the front to pay. The bill is not handled at the table. Magically, the cashier knows what you've ordered. Very good and traditional food.

The food here is very flavorful! I rarely have Mediterranean food, but when I do I come here. I have had the Chicken Curry the last few times, and the chicken has great texture and is bathed in a delicious curry sauce. They also have Shawarma which is very seasoned and bursting with flavored in its own way. Also available are are beef, lamb, and other versions of these and more dishes, some spicy, some seasoned, curries and kabobs and more. Most meals come with their yummy rice and seasoned vegetables. Our waitress kept our drinks full and checked in regularly. Fairly quiet place, not too busy, which makes it a nice place to visit with family.

I love absolutely everything about this restaurant. My favorite is the lentil soup, it is heaven. Hummus and pita are also amazing. And the jasmine rice!!! You must come here, it is wonderful.

First time eating here and it's like really really good compared to other Mediterranean food that I have had around KC. The hummus with the food was some of the best I have ever had. I have also been to the UK, and had Doner Kebab there at a chippy and the Gyro meat here is very similar to that. Definitely recommend this place over places like Mr Gyro.

We ordered the family meal for 4. Very generous servings. It was too much food for 4 hungry adults so there are plenty of leftovers! Delicious!

I am very happy to rate this place a 5 star! 1. Food quality was very good! Its just love 💚 (I had gyro meat and chicken something) 2. Service: The staff were great. They check out on your from time to time. I do not need to wait for a long time for the food to be served. 3. Location/place: its pretty decent. Nothing special but its clean 4. Worth of money: its super worth it. Its not expensive at all and worth every penny u spend. Side note: i wish they can provide silverware rather than disposables. You should try their almond baklawa! It tastes very very good 👌👌 If i get back to kansas City again, would love to come back on this restaurant. It was indeed a great gastronomical experience!!
