I absolutely loved this hotel. Gated parking lot. Our room was very clean and fresh. Two bedrooms with a private bathroom attached to each room. Loved this set up. The bed....I slept so well. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in in years. I wish I could have taken it home. Gigantic fridge. Came with pots, pans and dinner ware for four. I wish ALL hotels or bnbs were this fabulous. We arrived really late and the front desk was so nice and helpful. The one bad thing was the beautiful pool was closed for construction. But we were offered pool access to it's sister property a few miles away. If I ever come back to New Orleans, this will be the place I stay. 10 stars!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend and it was a horrid experience. We drove 5 hours arriving around 930pm to find that when we arrived our reservation was cancelled. We were told by the front desk agent that it was canceled because we had a New Orleans phone number and they do not accommodate locals at that hotel. We then explained to her that we no longer stayed there and that it didn't make sense for us to be canceled because of a phone number. After going back and forth we finally were allowed to stay. We noticed that the front desk clerk had many issues during our stay. She was very rude and aggressive to many guest. She was also very unprofessional. We invited my sister and her daughter to go swimming and the front desk clerk was very bilegerant towards her. When she arrived to the gate, she told her that she couldn't be there and that she had to leave. She didn't know if it was a potential guest walking in or not. That was not the correct way to handle the situation. I came down to get my sister and the front desk clerk stated that she could stay but she needed to be registered. I then registered her and we proceeded to the pool. About an hour passed and the clerk returned and said to us that we were the last locals. We didnt pay what she said any mind and proceeded to swim. Once 8pm came she came back and said that we had to leave the pool because it was closed. The pool was not suppose to close at that time. As we were walking out of the pool, she started smoking with some people that were sitting by the front door and was talking about us and how we invited guest. As a patron of the hotel, we are allowed to invite guest. There is no policy stating that we couldn't. We went back to the room and that was it for that night. When it was time to check out, we inquired about extending our stay and that same front desk clerk refused to let us stay. She said that we were unable to stay because we allowed my sister and her daughter to come and they are locals. She proceeded to say that we wanted to have "a party" when my sister came. I asked to speak to a manager or her boss and she called some random lady on the phone. When I tried to talk to the lady she proceeded to keep talking over me so that I couldn't speak. We just took our belongings and left. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are well renovated but if that is who you decide to have as a representation of it then you will find yourself out of business very soon.

One of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. I'm a bus driver and I stay in 50 or so hotels per year. Nice two bedroom suites and fully remodeled. Rooms have a full kitchen and washer and dryer also. Very upscale.

The hotel it's self looked great. The staff is another story. Unpon booking directly with there reservation line with Mia, my wife notified her that she is disabled and would need an elevator or 1st floor accomodations for herself & her service animal. We paid the $188 cleaning fee and first night upfront. As we were arriving we received a notification that &50 had been charged by the hotel which I was told was for incidentals. They then.stated that we needed to provide documentation fo lr a service animal or pay a $100 pet fee. I stated that we could get the paperwork but that it has never been required before (as it is against the ADA).y wife called and spoke withia again and she also said it was required.y wife contacted the trainer and we went to grap something for dinner. While eating I get a notification that Holy Angels had attempted to charge my card for the balance of nearly $500 but I had frozen it. Return to the hotel to check in but with a form that reservation have been canceled as they do not take same-day check-ins (confirm later that that is not true) and then all my money will be refunded. My wife called the reservation line and was told that there was nothing that can be done on their end and I had to deal with management at the facility. My wife went inside and spoke with Brittany who stated that they don't take same-day reservations, the room that we have been assigned by reservation was occupied, and that alternative rooms were dirty. Supposedly while speaking with someone on the phone they discussed that my wife must have booked with a third party as they had no one named mio that worked for them. She showed Brittany the number that she called. We were in our vehicle until 2:00 that morning looking for a place to go with our nine-year-old daughter. We received the $188 refund on Sunday. We have yet to see the $50 incidental refund. Regardless of what they say we feel like they cancel the reservation because we gave them push back about the service animal

They have newly renovated rooms. However, the room I stayed in has an awkward layout. For instance, the sofa isn't facing the television, outlets aren't well positioned, there are no USB port chargers, many of the designs that you would find in a brand hotel are missing at this property. Also having to find the text message with the link to the virtual keys is clunky and inefficient. Lastly, the rooms don't have blackout curtains. Not ideal if you want to sleep in.

Shay was a GREAT checking host. The property is gorgeous. We enjoyed our room! The showers were magical. The entrance is an exact match as photos. ||We missed the pool and jacuzzi unaware it closes at 8P instead of 11P but that is on us. The full kitchen was perfect to cook in. It's like a hotel/ apartment.||The area is beautiful to walk around. Peaceful at night but residents out. Just magical for all of us. We have been blue since we left. Certainly want to go back!

I spent a week at Holy Angels Bywater when I was in New Orleans on business. The building and grounds were beautiful. I was there during the week and it was serene. Too cold to use the pool, but the hot tub was amazing! ||The rooms were spacious with all amenities you need. I had a whole extra bedroom and bathroom that I didn't need. Great option when traveling with friends. Beds were comfy and so was the couch. ||Staff was super friendly and attentive. I had an issue with my key card at night that was quickly resolved using their text feature. ||Loved the neighborhood, short walk to several restaurants and coffee shops. I will definitely come back to stay.

The main room is huge. The bedrooms were spacious with all amenities you need. I had a whole extra bedroom and bathroom that I didn't need. Great option when traveling with friends. Beds were comfy and so was the couch. The architecture and grounds are stunning. So cool how it is an old convent converted into a hotel. I only did one polar plunge into the pool when I got to hot in the hot tub. The Hot Tub is Divine! Staff was super friendly and attentive. I had an issue with my key card at night that was quickly resolved using their text feature. Loved the neighborhood, short walk to several restaurants and coffee shops. I will definitely come back to stay.
