My husband and I stayed at Holmberg House for a special birthday/anniversary weekend and absolutely loved the place! It is conveniently located next to the Campus Corner area just north of the Gaylord Stadium and we could walk just a short distance for a variety of foods, drinks and entertainment. The owners, Lou and Gene, were amazing hosts and our room was beyond nice with a full bath including a jacuzzi tub and a heavenly bed. Our breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the company of the other guests immensely. The front porch is beautiful and such a comfy place to just sit and visit and enjoy the beautiful flowers in the English garden type yard. If you are lucky the owners sweet dog, Jenny, will join you on the porch! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast for anyone staying in Norman!

My first impression of Holmberg House was just loveliness! The house and yard are beautifully maintained. While beautiful, it is very comfy and welcoming- like a home! The location was perfect- just outside of campus corner. The owners were very sweet, even though we arrived after 9PM. While you are close to restaurants and bars, the house itself is on a very quiet street. I believe most if not all of the rooms are on the second floor and their doors are within a few feet of each other. There was only one other room occupied so hearing noise was not an issue for us, but when busy I could see how the noise could be an issue. The only complaint we had was the creaky bed. Every movement would produce noise, and if you were trying for a romantic weekend or are a light sleeper that may be a hindrance. We woke up well before the sun because of it. We stayed in the bed and bath room, which was lovely, however the tub was at the foot of the bed and there was no shower. We would definitely stay there again. They are truly sweet people (so is their pup!) and I loved that they provided coffee, snacks, water 24/7 as well.

I had the good fortune to stay at Holmberg House over a weekend in October. It is simply lovely! The rooms are tastefully decorated and so very welcoming, and breakfast was such a treat! Sherry, the caretaker, was away that weekend, so Tom and Liz (owners) took care of me. And take care of me they did. I felt thoroughly spoiled!||||Rooms have everything you could possibly need (including seriously comfortable beds), and there is a Keurig in the hallway (along with a little fridge) for coffee or tea when you need it. ||||It's a quiet place, but safe and private. Very conveniently located to campus, it's just around the corner from shops and restaurants, and just far enough out of the city to feel like a retreat. You won't go wrong staying here. I will do my best to get back to the area just so I can stay again.

We stayed at this wonderful B&B four night when we brought our grandson to OU for Camp Crimson. Our room was very comfortable & the breakfasts were delicious. A great place to relax or read was the front porch. We were across the street from OU & could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Tom & Liz were super hosts & gave us lots of suggestion on what to see & do. We enjoyed talking with them & found them to be very interesting. We hope to return soon to stay at the Holmberg House B&B. ThankYou for a great stay.|Al & Jan. 7-21--24-15.

I stayed here 2 nights in early May of 2021 in the Blue Danube Room. I stayed at this||place once for the same number of nights back in 2012 and 2013.||||The first thing to note about this is its location. It is located very close to the intersection of Boyd and Deans Row Ave. One street over from Asp Ave(40 yards), the heart of Campus Corner in Norman. The place students go to drink and eat. There are also some shops there such as Balfour that sells OU souvenirs stuff. Boyd and Asp is what I term the main entrance(goest by the Student Union, Registration Building, and other adminstration buildings on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Hence you are very close to the OU campus, football field, and Campus Corner.||||I really like the variety of Campus Corner there are lots of places you choose from that easily walkable. There are bars, such as OConnells that serves great burger and you have a selection of fries(curly, straight, sweet potatl, etc), Mexican restaurants(Pepe Delgado to name one), Othello(Italian), The Greek House(greek food obviously), pizza places, etc.. Thus, you can just walk out of the Holmberg House and just stroll into Campus Corner to a place to eat. ||||If you want a place near the campus of the University of Oklahoma you will not find a better location. Virtually all the hotels are along I-35, a little over a mile to the west of the campus. This house is within 300-400 of almost everything on the campus, including the football||||The house is also pretty close to downtown Norman. About300 north of the house. You could easily walk to the courthouse from here.||||The house is old(built I think in 1914) but it still appears to be functional. There is a white picket fence in front with grass between it and the house. There is a good size porch where with chairs you can sit on. You walk up 5 steps to get on the porch.||||The front door has numeric keypad which the management will provide you during your stay to access the house. That is easier than needing a key to get in and one item you do not have to worry about carrying.||||Inside the front door you will come to a sitting area where you can sit down. There is plenty of room to move about. The stairs to the upstairs is right in front of the door and you can not miss it. In a seperate room to the right is the dinning room where you eat the breakfast they prepare for you. My first morning I had fried eggs, hash brown, and toast. My second morning I had waffles with sliced strawberries and a fried egg. They offer coffee, tea, and juice.||||The guest rooms are upstairs. You walk up the forementioned stairs to reach them. The stairs go up halfway opposite from the front door before turning right to go up the rest of the way.||||At the top of the stairs you come to a room which all the guest room connect to. I would say room instead of hallway because it is too wide to be a hallway. The management provided a small refrig which contained small water bottles. Great during the summer heat.||||Each guest room is different and they are given a name instead of room numbers. The one I stayed in is called the Blue Danube. You will find the names and decriptions of each room on their website.||||The one I was in was a nice room with a queen size bed on the opposite wall from the door to the room. There is an amour and small desk to the left of the door. I noticed the amour had an iron and a very small ironing board. I think there was a small fan in there as well.||||There are at least two good size windows on the left wall with small ledges(guess inch) on the inside. Pass the windows on the left side you come to the bathroom door which opens outward into the bedroom.||||Inside the bathroom there are two windows, one on the left side and one on the opposite wall from the bathroom door. Between the two windows and opposite the bathroom door is the standing sink. At the back of the sink is enough room to put a bar of soap and maybe a glass. Slightly above the sink is a narrow wide ledge where you can put your razor, brush, etc. ||||To the right of the sink is the standing tub. I mean an honet to goodness standing tub like back in the early days. The stands about 3 inches off the bathroom floor. The tub is very deep. At least 3 feet high if not higher. You have to somewhat climb into or should I say swing you legs over to get into it.||||On the opposite wall from the sink and bathtub is the toilet and a small shelf. The small shelf contained complimentary stuff like soap and I belive things like shampoo, conditioner, etc..||||The floor in the bathroom is stained wood. Certainly not tile or rubber. You do not find many bathrooms with wood floors. The size of the bathroom is easily spacious for one person ||||Above the bed is a ceiling fan with the room's primary light. The lighting fixtures in the bathroom and the ceialing fan/light looks to me to fit the house's time period. As to be expected for that time period the lighting may seem a little dim to some people but it is good enough to get around the room\bathroom. Making it brighter would look weird in this old house. The funiture also matches the time period and gives the room realism.||||The bed does not have any nightstand or tables or either side I should mention but the desk and window ledges I forementioned compensate for this. There is really no room to put them since there is only enough room for the bathroom door between the wall and the bed. There is a small amount of walkaround on the other side of the bed but not much. Last, the bed has those poles on the 4 corners of the bed for that time period. Sort of like a poster bed without the roof. Forgive me ladies I do not know all the furniture terms||||I forgot to mention there is a small LCD TV on top of the amour. I am guessing roughly 24 inch in size. I never used it. Also the floor in the bedroom is also wooden.||||In general, this house is very comfortable to stay in. It was built long ago only modernize where needed to keep up with the times but still kept its character from those bygone days. With the young college students walking about brings back memories of your youth.||||I should mention the Holmberg House is on a fairly quiet street. Deans Row Ave primarily consit of houses that are used as rentals for students at OU. You can easily cross Deans Row Ave at any time on any day since there is very little traffic on it. ||||Finally, the couple that is running the B&B were very helpful to me. They are very familiar with Campus Corner and easily recommend restaurants there. They are also fairly familiar with Norman as well. It certainly made it a delight to stay there and I will certinaly stay there again in the future.

My husband and I had some parties in downtown Norman and a concert to attend, so we decided to stay the night at the Holmberg House. It was such a wonderful experience and great getaway. The room was very pretty and clean. The owners were so sweet and grounds gorgeous. You can tell they take great care of the place.

Although the three course breakfast isn't gourmet, the owners are terrific and the house is very charming. It is also walking distance from some nice restaurants. Each of the rooms has different themes and furniture. Our Bed and Bath room had a tub in the bedroom, almost at the foot of the bed and was cozy and romantic.
