Holiday Inn Vicksburg, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (611)
We travel on a motorcycle and my companion tends to let his frugalness get in the way of picking a hotel everyday.... which usually must include free breakfast. Laura at the front desk was amazing and changed all that!! She sold HIM on their AMAZING breakfast for $4.35 pp. She emphasized other Holiday Inns charge $12+. She was right... it was ALL FRESH and DELICIOUS! Omg.... the sticky biscuits with fresh fruit were to die for. I should have skipped the grits for another sticky biscuit. I recommend highly unless you want to swim (we don't) because the pool looked gross.
All the employees we spoke with were very nice, but the hotel needs updating and it did not appear really clean. The air conditioning unit in our room would not keep the room at a constant temperature, so it was either hot or cold all night long. I kept feeling little hairs on my face from somewhere in the bed during the night and when I came back home my pajamas smell just like men’s cologne - and not a good kind. Were those sheets even washed??
The lobby of the hotel is very nice. It seems that the lobby was recently redone. The actually hotels rooms are dated. It felt like I was back in the 1990s. When I took a shower in the morning, I found two wash rags hanging on the shower curtain. One could tell they were dirty and were left behind. For someone passing through and needed a place to stay for the night it was fine. If I was staying longer I would have chosen a different hotel.
Check in was quick and efficient, was not greeted as a Rewards member. Door keys needed to be re-programmed twice in 2 night stay. Decor dated with worn stained areas of carpeting and I covered the chair in our room with a personal blanket. Restaurant, bar and pool advertised as an amenity were not available as advertised(all of which were one of the reasons for choosing this site). No exterior seating/lounging area accept the unkempt abandoned outdoor seating area of the restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and foods at proper serving temp. Coffee and tea available in the lobby 24/7. Beds and pillows and linens were in good condition and white. Overpriced for quality of the property and expectations of an IHG resort property. Stay and appreciate the clean rooms, bath and bedding.
The hotel is pretty run down and needs updating and cleaning. The beds are very uncomfortable along with the pillows. The rooms smell musty, especially the air conditioner. When it rains hard the water gushes in through the windows splattering all over. The safe doesn't work, the refrigerator door was falling off and the door to the room hardly worked. When asked about the window, it seemed like it wasn't a big deal and no one checked it or fixed it. No one cared that the sfe didn't work either. I was just shrugged off. The breakfast was pretty good and the ladies working on the breakfast were very nice and hard working. I wouldn't stay again. I probably wouldn't stay at a Holiday inn a|gain either.
We came in for a business trip on Tuesday June 18th and the women that checked me in at 8pm that night had the best customer service. The lady that does breakfast greeted me all the way from across the room. Little things like that matter to me. As a business owner myself had it not been for those amazing women that work for your company I wouldn’t have given it five stars. Our door was messed up and wouldn’t lock are cards we had trouble with and I didn’t like the smoking room option but other than that it was wonderful. Yes I would definitely go back.
Third time staying here due to location and this will be the last. The third floor (the whole floor!) smells like smoke. Imagine you're walking into a bar where everyone is smoking and that is the third floor. And who can pass up paying $4 for a candy bar and then having to pay (yes, in 2024!) for you breakfast. Everyone seems to pass the buck; not their job.
Carpet very dirty. Pool smells weird, water cloudy, unuseable. Price not as promised, hotel charged $20 "convenience" fee on top of reservation price, basically extortion since reservation was not refundable. Everything out of date, like going back in time to 1992, in a bad way. Breakfast is an extra charge. Everything about this hotel is "how can we give you less for more money. Any AirBnB would be a better deal. Only reason I didn't give 1 star is lack of bed bugs, so far....

What a great little gallery of mainly folk art. We really loved this place. Really cool space with local art filling every brim. Some fun and funky pieces of jewelry and art in all mediums. Beautiful watercolors, some great mixed media, just great st
Another one added to my collection! ð¤ Here is my take
1. Plenty of selection. They have all the classic donuts and the size of them is on the larger end of the scale
2. The icing itself is sort of a hybrid of royal and something else. Almost a p
We had a wonderful stay at Oak Hall Bed and Breakfast. The house is beautiful and our room was perfect for our family of 5. We arrived super late but we were still greeted and showed around. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and had everything
We are doing a cross country drive this summer, visiting national parks, landmarks and little known treasured places. We were thrilled to have found this restaurant. Itâs far from fancy, but in our humble opinion it rates as high as the Chart House
Melanie and I stayed at the Baer House for the second time in 7 years and Corey and Patricia were great hosts. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was a great start to our day. We will stay there in the future, Thanks
