Holiday Inn Scranton East - Dunmore, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Dunmore - 200 Tigue St, USA

Initial impressions can be deceiving. We were pleasantly surprised with the recently renovated room which had a very comfortable king size bed and nice shower. Our second floor room was actually ground level in the back so we were able to park our car nearby. Evidently the renovations are still in progress. The building looks like a mishmash of 70’s and 80’s architecture. The lobby is sterile and devoid of any color, furnishings or plants. I assume this will change when they’re done with the renovations? Luckily the front desk staff were friendly checking in and out. We’d definitely stay there again. Great room, good value and right off highway. I would prefer a choice of continental breakfast as we didn’t have time for sit down/paid breakfast.

Fair at best. Good location near highway but in a not so good neighborhood. The hotel is dated. Well past its prime. Staff was friendly but the restaurant/bar was disorganized. Front desk made a point of telling us the police patrol the parking lot, which indicated to me that there must be a reason they would even mention that. It was not reassuring. I think the three stars was generous score. Room was not very clean. I would not stay here again.

Hotel comfortable. Good rates. The hotel is a bit isolated, which is great hwy access but not close to eateries. We've stayed here before and enjoyed the convenience of the on-site restaurant. We were surprised and disappointed in the new and very limited menu. A selection of appetizers and very few entrees. We would like to acknowledge Jen, who provided excellent service to us in the restaurant .

We do not recommend this hotel. Very noisy! You can hear the music from the bar/restaurant which doesn't close until 10 pm. Once the bar closed the partying noise from guests continued. So it is a great place to stay if you want to party all night. We felt like we were in a college dorm! When we made our reservation we mentioned being seniors so it would have been nice to have been given a room as far away from the noise. Also the beds are super high which is not easy for seniors to get in & out of. As IHG Members, this is one IHG hotel we will not return to.

Utilized Holiday INN Scranton East in Dunmore PA for a 2 day conference, Everything was PERFECT! Kathy was GREAT to work with!! She and her staff went above and beyond there was not a single issue from scheduling to check out!!! The ballroom is perfect to host a conference, meals were served in the ballroom (lunch both days, dinner first day and breakfast on the second day). Everything was ready on time. The hotel rooms were easily accessible just steps from the ballroom, the swimming pool and several lounge areas are well maintained and clean, and free parking on site were an added bonus!!

Coming here was the best thing that happened to us today. We are from way on the other side of the country and stopped here for emergency reasons. But since the minute we walked we we were welcomed, dispute the fact that we had kids as well and a group of 10. Kathy quickly installed us and the gave us ample time to stay and check out due to other issues we had, they were very friendly and comprehensive. We accommodated everything we needed plus more. The service was the absolute best. Thanks again for caring and taking care of your guest. We weren't rushed or looked different for taking longer then we should. I am beyond grateful for giving us the hospitality God bless you Kathy and staff

We had to make an unexpected trip to scranton. We got in around 1:00am. without a reservation. The night manager Gale could not have been more helpful. She should us the rooms so we could make sure that it would work for our group. She ran up and down the stairs to get extra blankets and pillows and was super friendly the whole time. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean. We had to force Gale to accept a tip for her trouble because she kept refusing to accept. She really made our whole ordeal easier.

La réceptionniste super sympathique! La chambre était super propre! Air climatisé récente alors pas bruyante. Le corridor avant procure une insonorisation des bruits de l'autoroute. Point négatif est que la grille de la fan de salle de bain est tombé dans la nuit. Pas facile de se rendormir après car qui est qui a fait tomber ça? On ne pouvait pas fermer la porte car elle était débarquée de sa trajectoire et j'ai préféré pas lui toucher pour ne pas empirer les choses.
