Holiday Inn Savannah S - I-95 Gateway - Hotel in Savannah - 11 Gateway Blvd E, USA

During our check-in at the hotel, we encountered issues with accessing our designated room. Despite several attempts, the key provided did not work. Subsequently, my sister approached the front desk to request a new set of keys. Regrettably, the replacement keys also failed to provide access. She then requested another set of keys, which likewise did not work. During her third visit to the front desk, I personally informed the staff that the keys were not functional, as they did not display any indicator lights. As a result, we were given a different room. However, upon entering the new room, we found it to be unsatisfactory. The bathroom showed significant signs of neglect, with visible stains and unclean surfaces. The overall cleanliness of the room was below standard, evident from stained lampshades and unclean towels. This experience did not meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness and upkeep. I had a positive interaction with a staff member named [Name], who provided exceptional customer service. However, the majority of the staff did not actively engage with guests, and interactions lacked warmth and hospitality. Additionally, the breakfast bar was not operational, which was understandable due to ongoing remodeling. However, despite being informed that breakfast would be provided through alternative means, no food was available, not even lunch or dinner. This influenced my rating, as the promised service was not delivered.

The only good part about this restaurant was AJ the bartender. The rooms were filthy. I sent pictures to their email site like they requested. There were two areas that look like they had mold, and the ladiy replied to me at the front desk said:" just so you know we are renovating"". Not helpful at all. As far as a restaurant at this place… It's not even fully functional the hotel does not run the restaurant. I would make sure that that restaurant is up and running before you go. They had limited things at the bar to drink. They didn't even have a Cabernet wine, please make sure you view the pictures that I took of the room. I'm attaching the photos and hopefully they'll be there when you need this review. We were just there The end of August 2024.

Very convenient and great location off i95 with nice staff near Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesdays, and gas stations. Room was okay for one-night but dated. Shower was poor in that the shower head was weak and towels a little old. This is a safe area if you are travelling through.

If you’re looking for a hotel as advertised, this isn’t it. The restaurant was never open (Thursday-Saturday stay). Main lobby and hallway areas were never cleaned during our stay and it was clearly not clean. Housekeeping manager was super helpful along with 1 front desk employee. The others were on personal phone calls or nowhere to be found. Wifi didn’t work even with login. Beds were extremely firm. Fridge was never cold. ||***positives: hot coffee in lobby, fitness center, and pool.

Don't waste your money on this dump. The shower curtain was literally falling apart, the AC (In the middle of July) didn't work in the adjoining room which we didn't discover until we were all unpacked, it was just old and outdated. The pool was nasty, kids couldn't even get in, half the staff, i.e. maintenance and maids only spoke Spanish. thankfully this was only a ONE night trip but definitely DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this dump. AND, it was supposed to be $150, and I just looked at my CC and they have charged me $214!!!! Definitely calling about THAT.

Close to I-95, this Holiday Inn Express is well lit and easy to find. Outstanding customer service from very personable site manager. Room was clean and well appointed. Rate is reasonable. Very good experience. Put as a map favorite for when im next driving through the area.

The front desk staff was excellent! Very nice, friendly compassionate! | The pool wasn’t open due to broken pieces- not advised of ahead of time that it was Out Of Order.| The breakfast buffet that is said to be included was also Not in Service and not advised ahead of time either.|| However the WORST PART of my experience was that I had my alarm set for 10:00am to check out at 11:00am and the Housekeeping Staff was banging on my door at 9:00am to see if the room was still occupied…. This was ridiculous!!!||Not impressed with Holiday Inn Savannah, GA||J. Wags

Front desk person wasn’t friendly didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. Breakfast NOT included. Maids knocked on the door before regular checkout and we requested LATE checkout. Lobby had an awful overwhelming chemical smell. The rest of the building needs a lot of deferred maintenance.
