I have been living in the Miami/Hialeah area for over 30 years of my life, and it is sad to say, but everything has gone downhill in service, care, and basic details and attention to consumer services. I hate to write negative reviews, but this one truly merits and warrants nothing less. This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! I called this hotel early on Sep 6, 2024, and asked for a one night stay as I needed to have some sleep and really did not care about anything else. Of course, they only had 1 room left and at the modest price of $150 a night in an area that I know all too well and that should be nowhere near this kind of price range in any instance. Regardless, I decided to go ahead and pay for the stay and take my chance, (what a mistake I had made). The check-in was at 4pm and I made it to the hotel at around 8:30 PM and was exhausted from a long drive. When I gathered my things and went up to the hotel room, I had high hopes seeing as they had put me in one of the top floor suites (room 1001). When I opened the room, I realized that it felt like a sauna. I tried to fix the AC unit various times until I realized that there was no central AC in the room and it was fixed on FAN mode. The whole room had a single moldy air duct vent that was used to pump the air across. I called room service 3-5 times that night and not a single individual had the decency or courtesy to pick up the phone or return my call. The temperature in the room with the fan at the lowest setting (60 degrees) was at best case 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit. The bathroom looked worse than that of a third world country with paint chips falling off, irregular caulking throughout, mold, and strands of hairs scattered. Furthermore, not a single amenity was provided in the room as if the people who stay at this hotel are below or beneath the basic elemental care and attention that all humans are entitled to at any hotel chain. (no toothbrush, no soap, no toothpaste, etc..). Moreover, being on top floor would lead one to believe that you would be exempt from any noises associated from the surrounding area, let alone that of traffic or cars passing by, but this hotel has it all! You could quite literally hear every single car that passed by the road from the top floor suite. The windows/sliding glass doors are not well insulated and allow all sound to come in which drives you even more insane than the heat you are already dealing with while trying to sleep. Not sure how this hotel has passed and complied with county inspections and continues to be up and running. I ultimately laid in the bed and tried to recoup as best I could before getting back on the road. The experience was so awful that I ended up checking out at 5:30am. The representative did not even care to ask me about my stay and how it had gone and I bet he didn't care either, but seeing as there were numerous people in the lobby at that time, I did not feel like it was the place or time for me to say the things that needed to be said and that I had in my mind. As mentioned earlier on, This hotel used to be a humble but attentive one that I had fond memories of (Howard Johnson before transitioning to a Holiday INN) but I would never stay at this hotel again, regardless of whatever I was promised, seeing as being below the bare minimum has become the standard in this city.

EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE. The shuttle service is terrible, once I was in the pick-up area at the airport and a few minutes later a shuttle from the Holiday Inn company passed by, and I said to myself wow, this was so fast, this started well, to which the moment I interacted with the driver he told me that he was not my driver that he belonged to another hotel of the same company and that I should call my hotel to which he told me "good luck with that" at the moment I said to myself this is not going to be right. For 2 hours I interacted with several drivers from the same company, I even spoke again with the first one who told me to solve it as you can because they have serious problems, during that time I was calling the hotel and I could never get through because they had the phone disconnected or "badly hung up". And to sum up, so as not to extend this text too much, the first room was dirty, with a bad smell, the air conditioning did not work properly, and the bathroom was in urgent need of remodeling. The second one was at least clean and the air conditioning worked, but it also needed remodeling. The elevators were constantly dirty, the pool was old-fashioned and lacking tiles, the decorative mirrors on the different floors were stuck together with masking tape. This hotel should close for complete repairs, as it represents a danger to the safety and hygiene of its guests.

The worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. Upon waking up around 3 am in room 1015. I Found multiple BED BUGS crawling over me. The infestation was severe. The psychological damage has been significant; even now i constantly feel as though something is crawling over me. Management has failed to even respond to my email and a formal request for compensation. The owners seem uninterested in maintaining the property, leaving guests to suffer. Strongly advise against staying here! Also No AC!!

Holiday Inn bathrooms in general are not the best with cleanliness. But the rooms are spacey and comfortable. This hotel had great service at the counter and is a good option to stay before flying. Very convenient.

The good: Comfortable bed, clean linens, hot powerful shower. Polite staff. Good food in restaurant The bad: I was very disappointed in this hotel. Room carpet was dirty, broken desk chair, half the lights in bathroom didn’t work. Rusty shower faucets, tiny bugs on countertop. When I brought up maintenance items to front desk they said they could send someone up to repair, but only if I was there too. Never heard it that in all my years of travel. Location was fine for my needs, lots of restaurants around. If rooms get renovated, I’ll be back. Only breakfast option was the $23 buffet. With limited healthy options. I just wanted my cereal and fruit. Restaurant for dinner had good meals, but I couldn’t charge to my room. and no tap option for payment. Again, I’ve travelled 35 years and never encountered that. Staff was very friendly and I sensed their disappointment with management.

Stayed for 8 days. Bring a fan because you can’t adjust the temperature in the room. I wake up nightly with 75 degree heat in the room. This is unacceptable and they put a comforter on the bed. I’m trying to figure out how to take my skin off. Sweating profusely and I have had zero alcohol. I couldn’t imagine staying here after a couple of drinks and trying to have sexy time!?! This hotel needs the ac system fixed. I’m contemplating sleeping in my car so at least I can be cool while I sleep.

The room A/C was temperature 60 and feels hot you cannot move the temperature but is obviously the temperature was not 60. The shower looks old some maintenance will be great, the coffee maker filter from the water tank was disgusting dirty looks never got clean have to do couple water runs just to clean before my coffee, one of the drawers never closed keeps opening. The lock for the door was loose. You can hear the freeway all the time is not sound proof and all the doors around opening and closing. The guy at the time check in was little rude. I like the Tv is a good size, the bed is comfortable and the fridge works great.

Old....needs renovation. Sheets on bed were very thin. Spots on floor. Bathtub completely chipping...disgusting. Lightbulb didn't work Batteries on TV remote didn't work properly. No ice machines were working. Breakfast was so so...liquid eggs...cold....yuck. Someone needs to properly manage this property.
