Holiday Inn Lumberton North - I-95, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (857)
Travelling from FL to NJ, my family and I decided to sleep here for the evening before finishing our drive. The room itself was adequate, though the walls were paper thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring through the wall). However, the tub was filthy, and the water pressure from the shower was akin to a dripping garden hose. The mattresses were terrible - squishy and lumpy and very uncomfortable. The room was booked for 4 people - 3 adults and 1 child. However, we were only provided with 3 bath towels. We were also given 2 vouchers for free breakfast, even though there were 4 people staying in the room. The person at the front desk said they would "make an exception" for my daughter, and gave us a kids voucher... but there was nothing they could do for the additional person in the room. Again, the room was booked for 4 people! It's terrible customer service to only provide breakfast for half the guests staying under a single reservation. Needless to say, my family and I won't be back to this Holiday Inn, and will probably avoid this chain in the future.
Rooms appeared neat, clean & sanitary. Beds were comfortable. Appreciated the microwave & mini frig. Michaela (not sure I spelled her name correctly) at the front desk was as kind & sweet as could be. Hubby wanted to watch March Madness, college basketball championship and had difficulty finding it on the (sophisticated) television set. Michaela came to our room and found the station and stayed long enough to ensure we knew how to get it ourselves. We travel a few times a year from Florida to Baltimore, MD and drive the first 10 hours to Lumberton, NC & spend the night. This will definitely be our first choice and will definitely book here again!
2.5 stars rounded down. Stayed twice on a trip down south (had booked ahead) - on the way down and back up. Convenient location - close to lots of fast food and a small mall. But the first stay was a bit icky - the room had obviously just been cleaned - the floor was still damp and sticky - and had that used mop smell. Also some hair that wasn't ours in the bathroom. Got take out from Denny's and they ran out of plastic cutlery, so didn't give us any, I went back and had to ask for real cutlery. Just all round a little yucky. ||that being said, since we had to stay on the way back, it was actually a bit better. Not smelly this time, and very soft sheets.
Location is fine. Right off 95. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Young lady that checked us in was fantastic. Very informative and friendly. Room was dated. Rugs still on this property. But stained. TV was like going back in time. Remote never worked. Went to front desk, thinking it just needed batteries . was advised there are buttons on top of Tv. Just like the 70’s ….. had to stand by the TV and hit the buttons on the TV, which was very slow. All it was missing was some rabbit ears and Tin Foil.
My Aunt Adell had her 80th birthday party at this hotel. It was very nice just that she arrived late- 45 minutes. The decorations were beautiful, they were in her Sorority colors, and she came out looking beautiful as ever. We enjoyed the dinner party. It was a great Celebration.
My experience was quite pleasant. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon arrival and check-in was quick and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities provided. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and pillows, which made for a great night's sleep. The hotel also had a delicious breakfast Dennys a variety of options to choose from. The only downside was that the room was a bit noisy from the street outside, but this was to be expected due to the hotel's central location. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in the area.
$169 for a room that was worse than the red roof. Outdated, smells funky, and stains all over everything. The 1 star is for the front desk receptionist. She was very, very nice.
I traveled up the East Coast to spend some time with my family for Christmas. I booked a “standard room” on the IHG app the night before because I was unsure of the demand for rooms would be being close to such a peak travel time. It took about 8 hours and I arrived a little before dinner time. The hotel is situated off of I-95 North close to the Interstate, however not close enough to have to deal with traffic noise; at least from the room I had which was on the exterior facing the roadway.|| My check-in was quick and easy and I was put on the second floor in a double queen room, I booked a standard room which gives the hotel discretion based on availability to assign you to any type of room they would like for the lowest rate. Traveling alone I only used the one bed but, it was with no issue to me. You can tell the property is dated, it is two stories built in an ‘L’-shape; and has a bar as well as a full Denny’s connected to the lobby.|| Although the property is older, built in 1990 and most recently remodeled in 2011 according to an independent website it is kept EXTREMELY clean, and everything for the most part was in working order. My room was small but, was very warm and had a cozy feel which was great for a cold December night. However, my heating & a/c unit fan made a loud sound when it was starting up which was bothersome. Fortunately, I was able to keep it low so it rarely had to turn on as I prefer my room on the cooler side; and the hallway corridors were kept warm so I slept fine throughout the night. || My bed was clean and extremely comfortable. The hotel also provides a wake-up call service through the phone in the room. My only somewhat of a complaint was that a housekeeper knocked at my door at 9:AM to see if the room was still occupied. In her defense, I did not have my “do not disturb” sign out but, I've personally never had that happen. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and will certainly be a guest in the future if needed!

A fun place to find unique vintage items or simply just peruse to pass the time! I know a lot of people are very into vintage Pyrex and this warehouse is a goldmine for it, and at reasonable prices too! The cashiers were kind and a joy to talk to!
Handsdown best deserts in town. The croissants and 15 layer chocolate cake are amazing. They also have a great breakfast selection include the old country staple liver pudding. I just wished they stayed open longer instead of closing at 4pm everyday
We came in this evening and enjoyed the complimentary hush puppies, we tried the oyster stew, clam chowder, and seafood gumbo. We then ordered the deluxe broiled platter, which was perfectly prepared, and the small fried platter, which was deliciou
