Holiday Inn Long Island Islip Airport - Hotel in Ronkonkoma - 3845 Veterans Memorial Hwy, USA

Sometimes this is The only hotel left with rooms available and i'm forced to get a room Here. Every time I do I pray that maybe I've just had some bad experiences. And that it could happen to any hotel. But every single time is the same b******* The people at the front desk are extremely rude and nasty. When I was, is the the lobby talking to the old Indian lady at the front. I said I was about to book a room. I just wanted to confirm they took cash deposits. And she looked at me. And was like there's no more rooms and they were full but online there were a ton of rooms that I was able to get. The younger Indian lady at the front and the male We're passing notes back-and-forth can only imagine what they say on the notes that they didn't want to say in front of the customers. The rooms are always bug infested. I have never stayed there yet and had a room that I didn't see. At least 5 bugs in the sheets are disgusting. The towels smell mildewey. The water pressure is horrible. The toilets flushing are horrible. Most vending machines are completely abandoned and empty. The ATM very, very rarely works. I think I've seen it actually operational only one time in about 5 years. Hey, they are notorious for keeping your deposit if you are even 30 seconds late to get out of the room. They will keep $50 worth of your $100 deposit. There's such schedules that they do everything they can to take your money and not have to give it back. They really should just burn this place to the ground and start Fresh. It's horrendous every time I stay there most times I never even go to sleep because a paranoid I'm gonna get. Bugs crawling all over me. If you shake the beds a little all of a sudden. You see, butt bugs crawl out from whether to eat. The mattress there's holes in the walls in the bathroom with mold and bugs coming out of them. They do absolutely nothing above. And beyond to try to make your stay better. They have no accommodation skills and all they do. Is the bare minimum? And they try to charge you ridiculous rates, sometimes cause they're the only hotel left in town with rooms because nobody would ever choose to stay there.

Do yourself a favor and stay someplace else!!!! I've stayed in $50 motels that were better than this. We were handed our key and were given no directions to our room only to find that it was located in the back of the hotel which is pretty big and difficult to find your way around if it is your first time there. Don't be fooled by the nice lobby. The rooms were old, smelly, smoky and dirty and our bed was lumpy. We asked for a non smoking room which was surrounded by smoking rooms and everywhere you went smelled of cigarette smoke. . We were really worried about bed bugs! On top of all this they charge everyone an additional $50 fee for incidentals

STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Saying this place is DISGUSTING is and understatement. We prepaid through priceline so we couldn't get our money back but that didn't matter. We ended up leaving and checking in at the Hilton Garden Inn right up the road for 200/night but were happy to pay it. The Holiday Inn was fine in the lobby but as soon as we went to the hallway where the rooms are it was as if you entered a run down abandoned Motel 6 with the smell of urine mixed with cigs. There were also questionable characters so I didn't even feel safe. There wasn't an elevator in that area of the hotel so you also had to carry everything up the stairs. (Try doing that with small children) As soon as we got to our room and saw the nasty, dirty, tiny room we turned right around and left. Even our 8yr and 11yr old boys were disgusted and wanted to leave and not touch anything. These people just put the money in the lobby and have no housekeeping. Its so gross I cant explain it. To top it all off, the people behind the counter are just as gross and rude. Spend a bit more and stay at the Hilton up the road. Don't believe me? Just ask to check the hotel out before you pay them. STAY AWAY!!!

Awful experience! Came for a wedding, shuttle left the hotel at 4:15 my room wasn't ready until 4:00. Had to get ready at record speed. Hotel staff didn't seem to care, forgot the giftbag that the bride and groom had left for us. Bartender was great though.

I use to work there and it was a horrible experience! Many of the employees could not speak or understand the english language. I know that prostitutes would frequent the hotel during the day or night, did not matter. The halls and most of the rooms were old,musty and cigarette smelling. The older rooms which are C & D buildings were infamous for the prostitutes or wild drunken and drugging parties all the time. Only 1 building had an elevator and that would be if and when it worked as it always was out of order more often then not. The spanish and haitian workers would get preference over non spanish and haitian workers in what building the would work in and that usually would be the building with the elevator as C& D building did not have one. I would highly recommend that nobody that you want to remain friends with or family with stay or work here ever!!! The only positive thing is it is very close to MCcarthur Airport.

THEFT!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I was here for a wedding and while I was at the wedding someone came in my room and stole my macbook, iphone, costume jewerly, and some cash amongst other things. The hotel receptionist was less than willing the help the police officer and answer questions. They were not going to call in a manager to view the tapes becuase it was a weekend and they did not give us our money back for our two night stay. What a hell whole. There was a shady prostitute walking around. The night it was raining, our room was moist and moldy smelling. They should BURN THE PLACE DOWN. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of themselves. Never again will I stay at one.

I was staying there on business. They checked us out with out us checking out. The building has this feel as if it was old the rooms are ok. I left a half full bottle of water and when I came back room service threw it out. Could be better they just need better personnel.

There is no Holiday Inn here. It's all the same Clarion Hotel property, and it's very well run. I've been here 2 weeks on business and it's a solid, mid-range hotel as good as any other. No problems whatsoever.
