Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights-Meadowlands, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Hasbrouck Heights - 283 NJ-17, USA

Super weird layout. The lobby is not accessible easily and there's only one elevator. My room's deadbolt was screwed in, but not actually attached to the wall. Super alarmed when housekeeping walked in on me (I was wearing headphones) and the deadbolt just fell to the floor despite it being engaged. Food was average hotel food.

Positive: As a travel agent, I must say that I am not impressed, especially for the brand of hotel I?m in.The pool and a couple of the workers are what I liked best. Negative: Rooms on fifth and sixth floor smell like mildew In our outdated. If you?re not an elite member, you are most likely going to end up in one of those smelly outdated rooms. AC doesn?t work well and 90 weather. It is humid in my room.

Do not stay here unless you want to sleep with bed bugs. Tried contacting the manager about the issue and instead he hung up on me. My guess is they know this is an issue and they do not want to address it. There are numerous reviews on other websites with people who also got bit. My infant daughter was also in the room with me and now I have to disinfect all of mine and her belongings. Do better Holiday Inn. UPDATE: As pertaining to the general manager’s response to this review, She is a liar. There was another review for this hotel complaining of bed bugs and her response was WORD FOR WORD TO MINE aka copy and paste. You’re disgusting for not addressing this properly. Do not stay here!!!! I still am healing and itchy from this nasty place.

Positive: Very clean and affordable. Rooms were quite large and the amenities offered are definitely a great value for the price point of this hotel. Staff were very attentive and helpful and did their best to ensure a great stay. Negative: The hotel was having an issue with their key card machine and we had to go to the front desk multiple times to have new keys issued. The room was dirty . The pillows are old and smelly , the towels are threadbare and the carpet smelled like old sneakers . They remodeled the lobby but the rooms are not. The room was humid and moldy smelling because the AC didn’t work well and made noise all night . We stayed 3 nights and one day they didn’t even bother to clean the room , we had to fetch our own towels from the front desk . I don’t recommend staying here.

An embarrassment to Holiday Inn to provide such poor customer service and lack of cleanliness and maintenance to guest rooms. They need training in hospitality services. The dirty carpet , smelly moldy air conditioner that made noise all night , the nasty old pillows are just unacceptable. I do not recommend this hotel .

The AC was loud and didn't work very well. We found a small bug (probably a roach) on the carpet. And two days in a row the housekeeping came into our room while we were in there. The first one was right after we checked in. And the second time was while we had the do not disturb tag on the door. They also don't knock for more than one second and don't announce themselves before starting to open the door.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days last week and it was fine. Today I checked in for another 2 days and when I got to my room, I saw crumbs on the floor. I called the front desk and told (Stephanie) about it and said “ sorry about that, I can send someone to vacuum or change you to another room”. I said to send someone as long as I’m not waiting long and she said, it won’t be long.|I already wiped the surfaces in my room with Clorox wipes so I figured it wouldn’t be an inconvenience to have someone vacuum the room. Little did I know … the guy who came up with vacuum gave me the vacuum to do the job!!!! I was in shock !!! I VACUUMED THe HOTEL ROOM!!! I called the front desk and told Stephanie about what happened and I asked for the manager and wait for it… Stephanie is the manager!!!! She said it was a miscommunication! I still can’t believe that happened. I said to her, “you expected your guest to clean the room?!?!?! Again, it was miscommunication!
