Holiday Inn Express Washington DC SW - Springfield, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Springfield - 6401 Brandon Ave, USA

We chose this hotel for a few reasons: Close to a metro station, free shuttle to the metro, free breakfast, and very reasonable price. This was the most reasonably priced hotel we could find that was near a metro station. The shuttle service was very convenient with very little wait each time it was needed. The breakfast provided each day was good, with plenty of options (some changed daily). The lady that was in charge of breakfast was very quick to replenish breakfast items and was very courteous to the guests. The rooms look to have been somewhat recently updated, but there were some pieces of furniture that were showing a little damage. The cleaning staff did a great job of tidying up the room and replenishing towels each day (in other hotels, they sometimes don't leave enough towels but we never had this issue). The hotel is located near restaurants and shops, some of which are within walking distance.||The few negatives here: |-We were in a room that connected to an adjoining room. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. Very little soundproofing.|-Bathrooms are very small and do not have an exhaust fan.|-This hotel allows dogs, which could be an issue for those with allergies. It was not an issue for us until the room next door had guests check in with a dog that barked.||Overall, this was a great stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others (but ask for a room that is not a connecting room). The price can't be beat, especially with free breakfast and a shuttle.

Location is GREAT! Access to all highways within minutes! Beds very comfortable! Breakfast was beyond excellent With Omelets, Sausage, Bacon, Sausage Gravy, Biscuits, Fruit, Multiple Drinks, Pancakes, French toast and much much more!! The view from the 10th floor was very good. This hotel is more than accommodating to your needs. Definitely recommend!

Positive: Whoever the manager is, he or she has the staff taking good care of the property and the guests. The daily free breakfast is much better than average for this type hotel. The staff is on point for cleanliness and refreshing food items. Negative: No

For $90 some dollars, this hotel is the deal of a lifetime. Sure, you’re by the freeway, but other than that the employees are courteous, the room was very clean, and the air quality was good (no damp mold smell like in many low price hotels these days). 5 stars.

We enjoyed a comfortable 4-night stay at this hotel. The location is close to grocery stores and restaurants and parking is easy. Breakfast was great, the beds were comfortable and we will likely stay here again if in the area. |The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of exhaust fan in the bathroom and the fact that the pool is outside and unsecured, where anyone could walk up and get in.

I'll admit that I am not a big fan of the Holiday Inn chain (IHG). Nor do I love traveling to the Washington D.C. area. However, this hotel proved to be a great choice. Not too noisy. Clean rooms. Easy access to many restaurants and a mall. Their breakfast bar is better than most any other of this hotel category.

Friendly and helpful staff. Check in was very welcoming. We used the shuttle service to the metro station. Very friendly and punctual. Room and bathroom were clean. Thought it was odd there was no microwave, but didn't need it anyways. Was on the fourth floor and had no issues with noises from freeways and we were on the freeway side. (Aftering reading a few reviews I was a little worried). There was a function in the event center but didn't affect our stay. We will definitely look into staying at this location again. Thank you for making our stay comforting.

Honestly, you get such a great deal for the price at this hotel! Very clean, the rooms have been remodeled, and the breakfast selection is so bountiful with lots of options of hot and cold food, esp gluten free options which I personally appreciated. A great hotel for such a good price!
