Holiday Inn Express Union Gap - Hotel in Union Gap - 1215 Ahtanum Ridge Dr, USA

Stayed here last year and absolutely loved it! This time around, eh.... Checked in, had to come back down to grab toilet paper (none in the room/bathroom). Back to the room and tried to crash. Felt something in the bed, pulled back the covers to find food crumbs all in sheets and an empty straw wrapper. Bedding hadn't been changed. I let the front desk know and they stated issues had been ongoing with housekeeping and receiving numerous complaints about similar things. Said she would relay to management. I really hope they get that sorted out because I really like this hotel. Staff are incredibly courteous and friendly.

I think this place was really nice. I don’t visit a lot of hotel places. The rooms were pretty spotless. I felt really comfortable here and slept well. The bed was firm and the sheets were clean. The cleaning staff is friendly. We had to ask for some extra bed sheets and the gal at the front desk quickly accommodated the request. There was a youth baseball tournament going on and a few teams were there, which is why I think the elevator was dirty. I didn’t go into the pool area. My son liked the weight room that has some dumbbells and machines. The breakfast was pretty decent. Pancake machine, toast, eggs, yogurt, milks, soy based milk, juice machine, mini omelette a (hit or miss), bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal. I liked it. They also offered a trail mix and or granola bars to take with you.

The staff was great. We needed a small meeting space on the fly and were accommodated with no issues. We appreciated the extra effort of the front desk and highly recommend this location The room was very clean and a good value for the money. We will return.

We had a stay at the Hotel, and gotta say, it was pretty chill. The room was clean, which was a big plus. The staff working there? Super nice – they made us feel right at home. And the breakfast? Yum – good stuff to kick off the day. We spotted some cool amenities around, but didn’t really dive into them. Oh, and heads up – the hallway can get a bit noisy. But hey, no biggie it was quiet at night. All in all, we had a solid stay and would totally hit it up again.

Rooms were very clean. Staff super nice and the breakfast was an actual breakfast!!! Amazing service and food !! When we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again thank you 🦥🐇

Pros: Our rooms were clean, housekeeping does a nice job. Beds are comfortable, two pillow options a plus, I hate down ones that just sink to the bed. Nice they end breakfast a bit later on weekends. Suggestions: I wouldn’t upgrade to a suite, unless you need a pull out sofa for an extra guest and or need a coffee table; the standard rooms are quite the same for space and has chaise lounge to stretch out on. WARNING: no freezers in their refrigerators, for those using travel ice packs with soft food carriers for medications. Cons: The staff up front was not the most helpful, and the following day, the gentleman up front missed the mark completely with lack of personality and consideration. Our third party reservations did not include the two nights we thought we were getting; not their fault, but we had to reserve another night at check-in. Hindsight…once we were up in the room for a bit, we realized they should have suggested downgrading us to a standard room, upgrading someone else at no charge, then we wouldn’t have had to check out and in the next day, leaving us without a room, literally all day. Ended up being that the rooms are almost identical, and they knew it was only two of us; might be good to include this in their training to know this, just common sense! The next morning, we asked the front office to call us if the room was ready earlier, explaining both of us hadn’t planned being gone all day, they said they couldn’t guarantee it until 3pm. I respected that, but when I returned at 3pm after no call, the room wasn’t ready with no idea of when it would be; just a shrug and told to try back later, almost festering I wait out in my car (winter?). Why wouldn’t you call housekeeping, why hadn’t you called housekeeping earlier to suggest you had someone waiting for a king room? He had a huge stack of key returns he hadn’t done to be saying he hadn’t had anyone with a king check out yet. Being prepared for courtesy calls when you're essentially expecting to run behind, would have been helpful, let alone to someone they knew was already inconvenienced. We were here for a family emergency, and paying unexpected resort prices ($300 a night) just added to our stress. But, there is no excuse with being busy when they knew these events in town were coming; they should have been well staffed, especially when charging double the standard rate. Ended up not being able to change for dinner, uncomfortably went as we were. We’re here quite often…I guess, when hotels are this compromised, we’ll just bring a the good air mattress and stay with family…far from a vacation experience.

Was overcharged by a whale of an employee, was supposed to only be $176 for one night. Got scammed $350 because of a cigarette left in the dumpster! (Never smoked in room) next time will just leave it outside on pavement. Don’t waste money here! Better places in sunny side.

We have stayed here a couple times now & overall a good family friendly hotel with all the amenities. Nice rooms/price.
