Holiday Inn Express Syracuse Airport, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in North Syracuse - 5418 S Bay Rd, USA

I don’t know why this place got so many bad reviews for their service but during my stay, everyone was very nice and helpful. I got to the hotel before the check in time, even though I said I could wait till 3pm, the receptionist was very nice and offered me early check in. Room is clean and spacious (I got the King bed room.) Bathroom is also clean and modest, there is a hair dryer and some basic hygiene products. Airport shuttle is definitely helpful, however, when I called and asked for pick up at the airport, I was told that the driver would be there in 10-15min, I ended up waiting over an hour. I was early for check in and didn’t have anything planned that day so I didn’t really mind, but since they said they’d be there in 10-15min, I waited outside for the first 20-25min and it was so cold. The second night I was there, some one tried to open the door, my boyfriend came out and they said they didn’t know we were inside the room. Later that night, we got 2 phone calls to the room phone, my boyfriend picked up both times and there was nothing from the other end so we decided to unplug it. We went out the next day and came back at night with a note on our door saying we had to come talk to the front desk (our room cards were deactivated at that time.) Talked to front desk and they said our room showed up as “vacant” on their system so they had given it to other people the night before and earlier that day without knowing, and they said sorry for that. I understand for their mistake but it was still an unpleasant experience having someone trying to break my door open in the middle of the night like that, and the phone calls waking us up too.

We stayed here when we went to the Springsteen concert at the JMA Wireless Dome in April. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was hopping, but it was very quiet in our room. What set this hotel apart from others that I've stayed at was the service. Upon hearing that we were going to the concert, two staff members gave us tons of helpful advice regarding parking. Thanks to them, we had an easy time getting in and out of the show. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely stay here!

We went here for a weekend vacation. Initially the room seemed great, but AC unit wouldn't work. Steven was wonderful and came down multiple times to assist us. He was very kind and helpful. ****New update***** We were charged 2 times for our stay. I called the hotel and the lady told me to call tomorrow, and hung up on me.. I now cannot pay rent because of the incorrect charge.

Staff helpful, rooms good but after a week the clothes washing facility was still out of use. Breakfast is basic and you need to down before 0830 before some of the food e.g. yogurts are all gone. No normal milk for tea drinkers out of hours.

Tameka and other front desk and shuttle staff were warm, helpful, and friendly. The room we had, a king, was roomy and clean and had a kitchenette. The location is a tough one unless you have a car. When the shuttle was available to us, it was great, but had to rely on Ubers to get around otherwise.

Convenient Location Situated just a stone's throw away from the Syracuse Hancock International Airport, this hotel's location couldn't be more convenient. After the disappointment of our previous lodging, it was a relief to find a well-maintained property so close to our travel hub. Comfortable and Clean Accommodations Upon entering our room, we were immediately struck by the stark contrast in cleanliness compared to our previous experience. The room was immaculately clean, with fresh linens and a spotless bathroom. The amenities were well-appointed, and the overall atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. Exceptional Service What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. Their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond made up for our earlier disappointment. Delicious Breakfast The complimentary breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The spread was diverse and delicious, with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. The breakfast area was clean and well-maintained, a far cry from the sparse and subpar offerings we had encountered previously.Overall, our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Syracuse International Airport was a pleasant surprise after our initial disappointment. The combination of convenience, cleanliness, exceptional service, and a delightful breakfast made it a standout experience. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and well-maintained accommodation in the Syracuse area.

A/C unit did not have a working blower. I stay at Holiday Inn Express every week. Most all of them are exceptional. This one was not even satisfactory. It was plain to see at breakfast that every effort has been made to cut costs at breakfast. Check-in usually has a couple of waters I can have as a Diamond member. If not, there is a bonus 500 points at check-in. This location has vending machines as a pantry. This is one of my first hotel reviews, and this location will never have me as a patron in the future. I am just glad I have been to so many good Holiday Inn Expresses.

I've had a really good experience with this hotel twice. Two weeks ago I flew into Syracuse late at night. The shuttle to the airport was smooth, the driver was friendly, and the guy at the front desk was professional and friendly and managed to work out several issues with others checking in at the same time as me effectively and kindly. I am staying here again for my return flight. Again, the person at the front desk, a lady this time, responded quickly and professionally and my shuttle ride is scheduled for 3 am. Both times my rooms have been clean, spacious, and quiet, and the beds well-made. The pillows are really comfortable, too. I only wish that I'd brought my swimsuit!
