Holiday Inn Express Savannah Airport, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Savannah - 1 Yvette Johnson Hagins Dr, USA

This hotel was great. It smelled so fresh and clean from the time you walked into the lobby. The room was clean, comfortable and inviting. The shower was excellent and the bathroom clean as well. My bed was so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family traveling. Also the staff was helpful and accommodating.

I had previously written a great review for this property but have since been proven wrong. After 2 consecutive stays being housed in the elevator corredor, my only request for check-in was to not be near the elevator. This was not honored and I spent more nights listening to the elevator and all the people coming and going. My room was filthy, I had to clean the floor because my shoes stuck to the tile. After scrubbing the floor the towel was black. The table was also filthy and sticky. The small breakfast area, while sufficient, was crowded by staff making several plates of food. My thermostat did not work so I had to use the controls on the unit which meant it could either be 50 degrees of 90 degrees in the room, nothing in the middle. I have to be in the area every weekend, I've stayed here 4 times in a month, but will need to take my business elsewhere.

This hotel was surprising better than I expected. It was clean and new. the staff was more than cordial. They gave me a quiet room. I hope the other Holiday Inn Express hotels will be remodled and staff to this hotel's standards. Holiday Inn is on their way to being the great while cost effective place they used to be.

After 12 grueling hours on I95, exhausted and hungry we stumbled onto this hotel. Boy were we lucky! Staff was warm, welcoming and sympathetic! Room was clean, comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was yummy and the lady working the breakfast room was great! So grateful for our stay there!

Room confusion. System errors. Double booked. Roaches. Maintenance came by willing to spray after two notifications but said I had to leave for at least 6 hours. Oh my God this place is the worst. Looks clean but it is not. Room service also doesn't always refill towels all the time. And now I'm stuck here for a month for work. Avoid this place or risk it. The pool was shut down for renovations. Came back again for work for two more weeks and had a better experience. It still have some issues to work on but I saw no bugs this time.

I've now stayed at this location 4 times in a month. Only my first visit was reflected in my original review, and that was the only time it was good. My 4th visit this weekend will be my last, I'll pick a different hotel from now on. My 2nd and 3rd weekend at the hotel I had a room in the elevator area and hated it. I asked for a room away from the elevator and was placed 1 room over from the elevator area. Still listened to that damn thing all night along with every single person coming and going. On this visit my floor was filthy and sticky, I had to clean it myself and the towel photo shows the results. My thermostat did not work so I had to use the controls on the unit. Housekeeping staff is incredibly loud talking and yelling to each other from one side of the floor to the other. Original: I like Holiday Inn because many things are standardized across locations, so you know more or less what you're getting. It's not the most luxurious but the staff is amazing, the rooms are pretty clean, and you have a decent breakfast in the morning. This location was above standard in my opinion. The staff was especially helpful and friendly, the room was was really clean (I check the bed and the toilet, everything else is whatever..), and I thought the breakfast was good. I didn't use the pool and only spent 2 nights. Edit to add: this little area of hotels in general is the best place to be when visiting Savannah with a vehicle. The other side of the highway is traffic 24/7, there are good restaurants but you don't want to deal with that just going to/from your hotel. From here you can also go the back way around the airport into downtown Savannah with ease, and you'll be there in 15 minutes.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect in relation to the highway and other amenities. It is undergoing Renovations so it will be very nice unfortunately our air conditioner was basically deafening and sounded like a 747 taking off every 25 minutes. we eventually had to turn it off to get some sleep. We could hear the television from the room next door but fortunately they went to bed at a decent time or it would have been issues.The breakfast staff was a little remote...not extremely friendly but efficient.

The check-in staff were so helpful and nice. It was the best welcome I have ever had. They were able to check me in early, give me local attraction advise, and have the nicest positive attitude ever. There were housekeeping staff there as well with some positive comments as well. I had the same experience with one of the Breakfast attendants and she even helped my traveling partner print airline tickets in the business center. Check-out was just as pleasant. I think what separated this IHG staff was that they were helpful and friendly weather it was in their area of expertise or not.
