Holiday Inn Express San Francisco-Airport South, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Burlingame - 1250 Old Bayshore Hwy, USA

I landed in SFO after an early morning flight completely exhausted. I am so grateful that Mary at Holiday Inn Express SFO-Airport South allowed me to book a room with early check in so that I could get some rest. The room was clean, quiet, and the overall stay was just the rest I needed. Rates seemed fair for the quality of the hotel. I'd stay here again for sure. I didn't have a room with a bay view but I went outside in the morning to stand on the banks of the bay adjacent to the back parking lot and it was really peaceful to watch the geese and the waves lapping at the shore.

We had a friendly face who greeted us. Her name is Miracle I believe. I love the coffee, water and cookies in the lobby that is easily accessible. A good Filipino restaurant is right next door. This came in handy when we had to return our rental car. The room was clean. The only thing that can improve is the frequency of the hotel shuttle. It comes every 45 min.

After years of exploring assorted IHG hotels near SFO, we finally settled on Holiday Inn South. First, they offer free parking. The rooms are spacious and well-designed. Clean, too. And quiet. We usually just stay the night before our flight home, as was the case thus year: it's about location, location, location. Bit compared with the other Holiday Inn options nearby, it's also about comfort.

I used an IHG free night and found it was a good value. The shuttle was on time and the driver was friendly and helpful. The desk folks we equally pleasant. The room was good and spacious. It's a little loud with airport noise so if you're a light sleeper consider ear plugs. There's a restaurant in the hotel parking lot that was quite good and an easy walk. Overall this was a good choice.

Stayed at this hotel as we had an early flight. On checking in, the hotels system was down so the receptionist was doing everything manually and appeared rather harassed. We were not greeted as platinum members but this may be due to not having the information available at the time. The room was clean and comfortable and had a microwave in the room which was excellent. The bed was huge and comfortable. We went out to buy some food and returned to heat it up in our room and asked for some cutlery and ketchup. We were given plastic cutlery but told there was no ketchup! Breakfast was included in the price and was lovely, again it was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery but did the job as there was a wide range of items. The free shuttle was also a bonus as we were able to use this for the airport at night to return our car then again in the morning. Would recommend this hotel for an airport stopover.

This is one of the smaller Holiday Inn Express hotels that I have stayed at. There were no lines or problems with check-in. The room and bathroom was very clean. Was surprised to see a small frig and microwave. Best of all, no smoking and no pets.

Breakfast was surprisingly good. Very close to the airport. Great people at the reception. While very clean, the hotel is a bit old-ish and it smells like old carpet and smoke. It’s good for a short stay, in transit. Would not stay there for vacation.

I’ve stayed here many times and generally been happy. It’s clean and has an airport shuttle. It has free breakfast and usually apples and cookies in the lobby. It’s walking distance to enterprise car rental. However. This time they put us in a room with broken hvac. They had a portable heater hooked to the window. The window wasn’t locked or secured on a ground floor room. In addition the temporary window plate was flimsy plastic allowing a lot of noise and cold air inside. I asked for a different room and they did not accommodate me even though they had a hundred empty rooms. I won’t stay here next time.
