Holiday Inn Express Lake Wales N-Winter Haven, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Lake Wales - 2953 Ridge Way, USA

The front desk clerk was very nice and accommodative, they had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24 hours, the pool was not available 24 hours but stayed open until 10:40pm which I found to be a fair time. The rooms were quite roomy and had a nice daybed with a little bedside table. We had a king size bed and it wasn't too firm or too soft, it was perfect for us. They gave each person 2 pillows, one soft and one firm so you had a comfort choice. The bathrooms were nice with a walk in shower. They use large bottles of dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash instead of the tiny bottles you usually see in hotels. They also had big bottles of dove hand soap and lotion on the bathroom counter along with a makeup remover wipe. All in all, an amazing hotel and a wonderful stay.

We just book this place because LEGO Land on site hotels were full. It's about 10-15min from the park if you are by car. They don't have a shuttle to the park. Room keeping is below the normal expectations. Breakfast is good. The surrounding area looks weird, remote and in the middle of nowhere. Maybe in the future, when the area gets more developed and they offer a shuttle to LEGO Land it can be a good option.

Great spot to be close enough yet far enough away from the Legoland crowd. Rooms are large and very clean. The check-in ladies were amazing. Friendly and polite. Took the time to explain everything and answer questions. The only drawback is that breakfast options are a little limited, and the kitchen staff isn't eager to replenish depleted food. Pool is warm and clean.

We stayed here as part of a Legoland package. Our first room had a loud AC, so we immediately asked to be moved, which they did. Desk staff and breakfast guy were very friendly. If not for the cinnamon rolls, the breakfast would be awful. The pancakes were not good and there was no oatmeal either day. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We stayed here for four nights while visiting nearby Legoland (about 10 minutes away). It is one of the better Holiday Inn Express hotels we have stayed. They have a couple of Lego photo ops in the lobby for the kids. The breakfast is well attended by the staff. Rooms are clean and what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. It is a 2-star hotel and one of the better ones.

Stayed here during our visit to Legoland. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. It’s close to a gas station, McDonald’s and IHOP. The room wasn’t the cleanest. We found a giant hairball near one of the beds, stains on the curtains and stains on nightstands/dresser. They have an ok breakfast selection and staff isn’t quick to replenish when something goes empty. Breakfast area also isn’t the cleanest. Chairs are super old/peeling and couches have stains on them.

We had a great time. Everything was great, just one small thing. My kids wanted pancakes from the pancake machine, but it was out of order. The public areas and rooms were very clean. Water pressure in the shower was great. Beds were comfortable and they had a good selection of tv channels. We like that extra touch of the staff providing, cookies, popcorn, ice cream or something every night. We picked this hotel for its location, which is fairly close to Legoland. It is also close to a bunch of other restaurants, gas station and the mall. Very conveniently located. We’ll mostly likely be back.
