Holiday Inn Express Keene, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Keene - 175 Key Rd, USA

Location was perfect, just minutes away from downtown! The room was clean and a great layout. Service was wonderful. Would definitely stay again!

Imagine having your 3 room reservations CANCELLED two weeks before the wedding? Imagine having the hotel associate, Jessica, speaking OVER you on the phone? Imagine calling back the next day to be told, with an ATTITUDE, how lucky you are to even HAVE a room at all? (they found 3 rooms at the Hampton Inn across the st) Imagine Jessica tells you the rooms have a king bed each, for your 11 adults? Imagine Jessica saying that no other rooms in area were available for the same PRICE POINT? How can that have anything to do with it when the Holiday Inn CANCELLED the reservation that we had FOR TWO WEEKS? Imagine how nice it was to speak to Mike at the Hampton Inn by Hilton across the street who agrees that Jessica was wrong to speak to a customer in such a RUDE way when delivering bad news. All this is true and unexaggerated. Holiday Inn Express in Keene, NH has forever lost a customer. I don't blame the entire company, but I do BLAME JESSICA.

Okay so this place was under construction/renovation when we went. The staff are super friendly and the breakfast wasn't bad. However the room literally you walk in and there's a sink on your right and to the left is the tub and toilet in a separate little nook so basically your bathroom sink is out in the open. The bed was nice they had a couch and a coffee table and a nice TV and the fridge. Location is good. I probably won't stay again just because there are other hotels the same price that offer slightly more in the way of amenities/room comfort. My husband and I went there for a night away while my mom watched our son, I wanted to take a big tub and have a nice soak but didn't end up doing that because the bathroom wasn't conducive to it. It isn't a very good location right near basically downtown Keene and everything would want to be near as a tourist.

The people who work here are SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL but the facility is not up to par. I am writing this in the hope that corporate leadership sees how the state disrepair is ruining an otherwise great hotel. Our room was not clean and had stray hairs that were not ours in the shower. The room looked run down and smelled musty. The worst part was that our room flooded from water coming from the floor above, which rendered the bathroom barely usable and caused things we had on the floor to get wet. It was all handled properly when reported, but this place is structurally not in good shape and should really close completely until all the renovations are complete.

It's a very nice hotel (undergoing renovations at the time of my stay) with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and easy to get in and out of (I still find the decision to have the bathroom sink separate from the bathroom very strange though). I really appreciate that it was so dog friendly and had places to walk and potty the dogs. My major critique is that the walls to adjoining rooms and to the hallway do not mute sound very much and it was very easy at times to hear neighboring conversations. The room could have really used a white noise machine and/or some sound dampening panels. Because the hotel was not very booked when I stayed it was not too much of a problem, but I can imagine if it is very busy it could be a real issue. Otherwise, great stay, thank you to the kind staff - and I do plan on staying again, as when I booked it was cheaper than all of the area hotels. (BTW did not eat breakfast there but it made me choose a rating - I have no opinion)

Terrible experience! Half of our room had no power. The phones did not work! We were told the room had 2 queen beds but when we arrived they were full beds, so I had to sleep on the floor. The wall paper was peeling off and we couldn't adjust the room temperature from AC to heat in New England in December. The continental breakfast was the same you get at any hotel however the food was over cooked so I only had a cup of coffee which was actually the best part of our stay. Coffee was Green mountain coffee. The pool was heated and went from 3'-5'. The hotel staff was very polite and friendly however they refused to stop the cocaine party in the room next to ours. We had banging, screaming and drug use on the other side of the adjoining room. We ended our stay a day early and asked for a refund to which the general manager said he could only give us a 30% discount. Needless to say we will NOT be returning with our children EVER. Too bad too because we have reasons to revisit frequently but will not.

Everything was wonderful for our recent stay. Check in was so well prepared and was able to check in one hour early. Love the variety of pillows, found my favorite one. Breakfast was more than continental and the cinnamon rolls and fresh pancakes were delicious. Very clean rooms. The pool was also wonderful and so happy to see the handicap lift for swimming. ||||Would absolutely stay again.
