Wow! After a long drive, we were welcomed by Ebony that provided a great smile and the best hospitality I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. She went out of her way to make my dad fresh coffee and even came up to our room and told him personally that is was done. We had a great nights sleep and were welcomed by Kimberly, another breath of fresh air, that morning. They both went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. What a great stay!

We had an excellent experience staying here! The staff was so helpful, kind, polite, & willing to help. The rooms were clean & great sized for me & my 3 kiddos, dog, & grandmother. Our dog was welcomed with open arms & a biscuit. The host even cleaned up his crumbs with a smile! Breakfast was wonderful, with options, the staff even helped my 87yr old grandmother make her plate & carried it to the table for her. I was very impressed with the staff, they really made the stay a fantastic experience.

Friendly staff. My room was clean the shower had a hole over it where the paint was chipping. And the air conditioner would not stay at set temperature in our second room the air conditioner would not cool off room. If they service there air conditioner and replaster the wall where up keeps needs to take place they'd get a better survey.

Excellent experience. The rooms were excellent and clean. The staff were professional and courteous. The only 2 things I have are that the walls are thin, you can hear everyone's conversations, and the shower drain is backed up. Other than that, it was very peaceful.

I was very pleased that I chose this hotel. The accomodations were very suitable the rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. I would highly recommend this hotel as it was a really nice stay at an affordable price!

Overall a good experience especially the staff. Room was comfortable and clean, shower could have been cleaner. Great breakfast and staff. Around the window in the corner, the wall was cracked & moldy needs some maintenance

our family stayed at the HIE this past weekend while our son attended a baseball camp at ECU. Everything about the hotel was perfect! The room was very clean, (the pillows are amazing) the check in process was fast & easy. The pool was clean & very refreshing after a long day of baseball! The breakfast was the best breakfast we've seen provided by a hotel. There was so much to offer. We don't have one complaint & are happy to know we have a great hotel to stay in if our son attends ECU for college. We will be back!

Lived here for a project so a couple months. Every shift is incredibly helpful and friendly (night shift even makes a fresh pot of coffee just for you). Decor could use an update, but that's if you really care about things like that. Pool wer great and well maintained. Breakfast is the usual IHG breakfast with added potatoes. Several restaurants within walking distance and several better a short drive away. Only thing for my long stay was the lack of on site laundry. All in all a great stay.
