Holiday Inn Express Chicago-Downers Grove, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Downers Grove - 3031 Finley Rd, USA

The stay was nice and pleasant, I never had any issues with noises or anything. The place is very well placed among multiple shops for convenience. The front desk was helpful and always supportive. I only have 2 suggestions, needed the Laundry system up and running, going to sleep inn was not very convenient. The room cleaning service (daily garbage)for long term guests (more than 1 days) was inconsistent. Some of them were very punctual, but other days I had to follow up etc. Maybe a banner on door helps, (I saw in my stay in Holiday Inn Katong, Singapore), the banner says "Ready for Cleaning" and then the house keeping can prioritize. That was the room would be clean when say I am out for work. Since cleaning these rooms takes barely 5-10 minutes, it'd nice if can be prioritized. Also, the gym was small, I know it's a big request, but a little bigger gym with one cross fit equipment is very helpful, which was there in almost all other stays in Holiday Inns (that's maybe 3/4 holiday inns, not too many, I don't want to brag) but still helpful for people who work out. Now, overall I was very impressed with the stay. And, must I mention that the breakfast was extraordinary, although it's same everyday, but fresh and has variety of food options. All day coffee is also a very nice touch.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Only issue is I wasn't left with any bath towels. I didn't notice til it was too late and had to use the smaller hand towels. Everything else was GREAT. Check in was easy, room was clean and recently remodeled. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot and water pressure was right.

This is a great hotel. The rooms were very comfortable. Even though there was construction at the hotel, it was no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The location is good. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Highly recommend

This was a good stay, except they should take some of the big foyer entrance space and expand the bathroom! If you used the bathroom with the door open, you had to sit on the toilet sideways because it was that small with the door in the way. The bathtub was right next to the toilet and so was the sink. Also, how much does it cost to replace a toilet seat? Instead they did a makeshift job to fix it, so the seat was partially shifted. You were sitting on the seat and partially on the toilet bowl. Gross! The bathroom was my only downfall of my stay. They were doing construction in the lobby, but that didn't bother me.

I had a great time here! The hotel is so cool, it's like going back in time. The bathrooms were very clean and had a lot of character. Our room was so comfortable, and so was our bed. The man at the front desk is so nice and helpful! The area is great, and there are lots of great places to eat and drink nearby. I had some strange things happen to me as well. We're coming back!

When we arrived I almost walked back out the door. I wasn't even sure the hotel was open. The lobby was in shambles and was in much need of improvements. From what I am told, the renovations had been put on hold but it is very detrimental to the appearance of the lobby which is the first thing guests see, The door to my room was marred and looked like it had been damaged at the bottom. The bathroom in our room was very small and the heat had been turned up to 80 degrees. Our heater was also very noisy, so much so that we lost sleep due to the noise. We made the front desk aware of the situation before we checked out. Also, it had just snowed and the parking lot and driveway were not cleared making it very dangerous to walk.

Really nice updated room. They are currently undergoing renovation in the main area, but no big deal. Excellent breakfast. Definitely competitive with my favorite hotel in the area in terms of value. The TVs are mounted to the wall in such a way that it may be infeasible to plug in your own HDMI cable or device.

Great variety of options for breakfast the pillows are like the softest thing on earth right about now. Hotel is currently under construction so the lobby isn't really up to par. Great size bathrooms and awesome water pressure
