Holiday Inn Express Bordentown - Trenton South, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (579)
Comfy beds, large rooms, good pillows. ||Breakfast was modest but sufficient to get you going in the morning. Considering it's complimentary, nothing to complain about.||Staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall the hotel was a good value and we'd stay here again.||Other reviews complained about odor in the hallways. Yes, there is some odor but this is typical of hotels. Hall windows are sealed so fresh air can't enter the space. I'm not sleeping in the hall so it didn't bother me.||The room was a little stuffy when we entered - again due to sealed windows. But running the AC for 10 min took care of it.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. Picked this location as it was close to the exit to the PA turnpike and we needed a quick out as we were heading back to TN. If your vacationing I wouldn't recommend it as it really isn't around anything, but for a cut through stay its a great stop. Many restaurants all along 130. 5 miles up the road is a shopping plaza. I like the fact that is recessed off the main road so you didn't hear any traffic through the night. Hotel was clean although I think the smell of pot was in the hallways. Its legal is all I hear. I personally can't stand the smell. But the room smelled fresh and clean. Looked well taken care of. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is the on/off button didn't work on the tv remote. No big deal you can shut it off manually. Loved the fact that most hotels are now using big bottles of toiletries, name brands too, no more little "made in china" lotions and soaps that I only tossed out because I wouldn't use them. Not to mention you could never get the stuff out of them. Breakfast was included and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was. Eggs, potatoes and sausage but it was pretty good, much better than other hotels we stayed at. Then the other usual, cereal, fruits, yogurt, pancakes, juices, bread, bagels, mini muffins. Food area was well maintained and clean. Definitely a good stay.
Thin walls and no sleep! Honestly, the whole stay was met with annoying neighbors. The first two nights, the gentlemen next door would get on a phone call around midnight and was insanely loud but it would only last 30 min. The last night was the absolute worse night I’ve ever spent in a hotel. The neighbor sharing the conjoined door had an alarm set that rang from 7pm to 6am! Genuinely non stop!!! I almost thought he wasn’t in there. So, to drown it out I turned the tv on. Well after waking up at 1, 230, 3ish, and 4am I finally called the front desk. They rang his room and the alarm stopped. 10 min later it was back ringing!!! I called again to ask someone to check on him, it stopped but u heard the guy come knock on his door. No answer. Well you guessed it, it started ringing again!! Finally I decided to just beat on his door. It stopped. But then it rang again!!! After 3 times of doing this, I finally gave up, woke up, got dressed, and checked out. It was probably the worst stay I’ve ever had at a hotel.
Felt like a three star hotel! Pool, breakfast included, free wi-fi, and very friendly staff. The hotel was very clean and I could tell it was managed well. It was quiet, due to the location and types of visitors that tend to stay there. I slept like a rock in the bed, it was so comfortable. Very happy with this hotel.
Although seemingly a newer property, this Holiday Inn Express is as far from the brand standard as any I've ever seen, especially the breakfast experience. The seating area is tiny and cramped, and the layout of the buffet crams all of the highest demand items into one corner, specifically the pancake machine and toasters, meaning everyone is fighting for a spot there with no sense of organization. They only had sausage links and plastic-looking scrambled eggs as the hot items, since the pancake machine was down most of the time and the one lady staffing the breakfast (yes, only one) didn't have time to bother making any cinnamon rolls. I understood she was overworked, so I asked nicely if any cinnamon rolls were in the oven and coming out soon, but she was very dismissive as soon as she heard me say "cinnamon rolls" as though I was being unreasonable for expecting any. Eventually, she finally refilled the cinnamon roll area, but when I went to get one, it turned out they were just cheap, still-frozen danishes (see picture). If you are planning to book here based on the Holiday Inn Express brand standards, I definitely suggest you look elsewhere. Even though this property is usually on the cheaper side for central NJ, given how much lower the standard is, it is still overpriced for what you get.
Terrible stay at this place, mattress was in bad shape and springs in it poked from everywhere i turned. Bathroom was dirty and the whole room gave a vibe like someone had maybe died there in recent past. Staff wasn’t helpful at all. Lazy to describe in one word. You can see the images for the way mattress was and how dirty the bath was. Oh yeah so the bathroom door wouldn’t close either. Luckily i was just by myself but this hotel is really in poor condition. And of course the staff is incompetent/Lazy or untrained. Or just don’t get paid enough to give a F. I’ll choose another hotel and there are few ihg brands within 30 minutes but never here again!
Good place just to stay couple of nights. They didn’t provide us any towels after housekeeping went to our room, but everything was great afterwards. Breakfast is a huge plus
I wanted to reach out and compliment one of your employees - whomever attended the front desk this past Tuesday (2/6/2024) morning 7:45am-8:45am. My wife and I were commuting to work on 130North when our car blew its radiator, and we pulled off of the road into your driveway to get out of traffic. We walked up to your hotel's lobby to get out of the cold to call tow truck and your front desk personnel were simply amazing! They offered us free coffee, which we didn't have but highly appreciated, allowed us to use to the restroom and even let us sit in the lobby while waiting almost an hour for the tow truck to arrive. During the time we sat there waiting, I was highly impressed with how she greeted every guest checking in and out. I failed to get her name, but she definitely earns praise and presents your establishment in a wonderful light. We do not travel much, but from this experience my wife and I will definitely stay at a Holiday Inn Express before any others in the future. Thank you and your staff for assisting us in our trying times.

I only went here for an embroidery class, but the rooms were an appropriate size for the class. I did hear from a few people that stayed at the hotel overnight, that it was a bit expensive. I however, live close enough that I didn't need to stay a
went out for dinner with friends here and it quickly became a cherished night out! the aesthetic and decor inside is not like a restaurant weâve ever been to before and it was refreshing! for food, we ordered the tapas tower and everything came out
Hands down best bagels. The service is quick, friendly, easy going but professional. Unique selection of bagels and handmade cream cheese and butters. If you havenât had a chance to get here please do. Can get busy but worth the wait!
We completely enjoyed or dining experience on Friday 1/12/24. Each individual dish from salad to desert was exceptional. Deanâs music was special. And our server Jessica was gracious, acommodating, and funny - all three. We hope to return again for
Have to check out this cream of crab soup and the coffee, AWSOME!!!! the service was perfect, and Cheryl made our first ( but not last). Visit there a wonderful time. You HAVE to go visit this diner, and you will not be sorry.
We just happen to be in the area and in need of some breakfast, and happened to end up at the town and country diner. What good fortune we had! We were greeted by a bunch of Girl Scouts, who were eager to sell their cookies, and we were eager to buy.
