A somewhat older Holiday Inn Express (was this something else previously?). Indoor pool was too cold to be swimmable by most standards, but hot tub cool enough for children. Room itself was fine. Not entirely surprising for this class of hotel but AC system was definitely on the louder side. Breakfast seemed to be done pretty well - definitely meeting or exceeding the chain standards. And they also were flexible enough to recognize an event in town with a lot of people departing early, and then offering breakfast earlier that weekend - not announced at check in, but definitely appreciated.
Stayed here for one night, Checkin was amazing and fast! Ryan did a great job, hotel room was clean and new mattresses it appeared. Very clean and nice location. Parking stalls were small for a full-size truck but will stay again there. The complementary breakfast was amazing. Coffee and Juices on tap! Thanks for the great stay!
Super duper clean, modern room (even had a bidet toilet!!) comfy sheets and amazing breakfast. I recommend the Gloria market for authentic cheap tacos which is a 3 minute walk away. The Extreme Sport bar and grill was pricey for average food.
I have stayed at many great Holiday Inn Express but this one did not meet my expectations. The hotel looks worn, while there have been some updates, the halls are dark and the lobby feels worn and the breakfast area is small and feels cluttered. Our room smelled strongly of mold. It appears the HVAC unit above may be leaking in the unit we were in and causing mold issues. Since we were only staying for one night and I booked thru Expedia, I felt changing likely not worth the effort but I woke up congested so probably should have made the effort. I did let the front desk know but he did not leave me with any confidence it would be addressed. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The room was clean for the most part.
If you’re traveling to and from Vancouver, B.C. and need a place to rest for the night, this is a great place to stay at! For the price of the room, it’s a great value with clean rooms, delicious breakfast options, a fitness center, and a pool with adults only hours past 10pm. Love the cinnamon sweet rolls and egg omelets here! Makes for a delicious breakfast as well as pancakes. Because this location is more inland from the Interstate, the rooms and surrounding areas were quiet at night. Highly recommend if you’re in Bellingham or near the Canadian border!
Amazing experience.. not often you say that about a hotel.. Met Robert the general manager. Wonderful down-to-earth, gentlemen. Spent time telling him about Roiel, one of his employee, and how helpful he was This will be the only place I stay in Bellingham for now on
This Holiday Inn Express has a really great location with any shopping you may need to do nearby and plenty of parking if you have a larger rig. The complimentary breakfast is really good in the service is great
I checked in and was made to feel like I was important. The room was clean and plenty of room and supplies in the bathroom. When I went down for breakfast in the morning, I was surprised at the selection. Cheese omelets, pancakes, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and juice were just some of the foods available. Very happy with making this my new hotel to stay at each month for my business trip I take. I have been coming to Bellingham since 2015 and decided to switch to a new hotel since the other one was getting progressively worse. Very happy with new choice.
