Holiday Inn Express & Suites Wharton, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Wharton - 10247 US-59, USA

This Holiday Inn is one of the nicer hotels in the IHG chain. Very clean inside and out, in spite of all the road construction in the area. Next to the hotel is Whataburger. This location has a huge, paved, well-lit parking lot for tractor/trailers. My hotel room was clean and very comfortable. Denise @ the front desk was very professional, courteous, friendly, and accommodating. I highly recommend this location.

I will start the review off with the bad. I called yesterday (7/9/24) and Robert was okay at first. However he became fairly rude over the phone, I had no power, no lights, ac etc (this is because of hurricane beryl) and I was scrambling to get my card info with my kids in the background. He was impatient and hung up on us when we asked him if it was charging the card now or upon arrival. The rudeness was unnecessary! However I won’t let that take away from this location, it’s very very clean, the ladies who were here when we arrived were accommodating and kind so no more complaints in the hospitality department. We had a 2 queen bed suite and it was spacious for myself, partner, 2 year old, 7 year old and our infant. If we had to look for something again I’d be back!

The staff were very friendly. Check in and check out were super easy. My room was very clean and breakfast was always hot and ready. And when I accidentally left some personal belongings in my room, they worked with me to ship them back to me. Definitely recommend!

We had a very pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. Robert the manager did a wonderful job taking care of us. We appreciated the clean room and the great warm breakfast. Highly recommended

Great staff! Breakfast was amazing!! The reason for the 4 stars is because I tried to take my kids to the pool and it was super dirty and invested with fire ants. We were there for the weekend, so we were disappointed.

No hot water. Stays luke warm. I was here a couple of months ago and they said it was not turned down and that they fixed it. They did not give me a discount then or now. I forgot about last time. I will not be back!!!! Got to thinking about this and I wonder if they even use hot water to sterilize their sheets and towels? Makes you wonder how clean they are!!!

This location has easy access and availability since it’s right off the freeway and in a small town in a suburb of Houston. It was the perfect location for us and we had no problem booking a room last minute meaning the day before. Everything was fine, the service, check in, breakfast and cleanliness. The drawbacks were that it’s right on the freeway so there was some traffic noise but not too bad. The biggest issue was the mattress was pretty hard so it wasn’t very comfortable and I woke up kinda sore.

The staff was so polite, friendly, and patient. The beds and pillows were sooooo comfortable and fluffy.
