Holiday Inn Express & Suites Vicksburg, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Vicksburg - 4330 S Frontage Rd, USA

Hotel was newly remodled. Rooms were comfortable and staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. And the pool was nice.||Only negatives was the seating for breakfast. The breakfast area was fitted out with one table for 6, one for 4, a bar type seating for 4, and 2 small tables for 2. Whenever we were down for breakfast there were people standing looking for a spot to eat. The room could definately handle more seating without the large chairs they had. It just needs to be reconfigured with different kinds of tables and chairs that it currently has. (Current set up is mroe for hanging out in a comfy living room style vs. for eating.)

Location- Great location for visiting the national military park, and the Lower Mississippi museum. Pool- The outdoor pool had definitely been warned by the sun , but we were thankful for a swim. The pool had a bunch of leaves and dirt in one spot, so the vacuum must not work very well. Breakfast - awesome! The TV was turned low and on the weather channel, so my kids weren't distracted. Room- clean and well furnished. I Appreciated that the hand soap and lotion were in a spot on the wall where my kids could reach the hand soap. (The past two Holiday Inn Express locations have put them on the back wall by the mirror). There were 4 towels in the bathroom instead of 3 like many have had on our trip. Staff- everyone we interacted with was friendly and polite. *Highly recommended!*

My father and I were in town to visit the sites of Vicksburg, and when we arrived at our designated hotel, it was obvious that we had made a mistake in our booking. The hotel had placed us on a second floor (no elevator ) and smoking room. This just would not work for an 86 year old. Canceled the reservation immediately . Headed to the Holiday Inn Express where a very nice young lady took care of our needs and even recommended a nice nearby restaurant. We had an excellent stay. The room was very clean, the beds slept great, and the shower was great. We were even treated to a wonderful breakfast that was included. The place is undergoing some renovation and the workers were working on some of the rooms but this should not stop anyone from staying there. I wish all of the places we will stay on this trip were like this Holiday Inn Express. Super friendly ladies also greeted us this morning and wished us well.

Stayed for 3 nights in a King Room. The room was great. FINALLY; Some decent housekeeping! Our room was cleaned each night. The location was great. It was in the center of Vicksburg and the Battlefield. The breakfast wasn't bad. The only issues I had were: They have only one elevator and housekeeping uses it as well. Had to use the stairs. The "Breakfast Area" seating is minimal. These are issues when the place is busy. And; While the trash has a recycling receptacle, they don't recycle anything. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Gail is such a sweet lady and really went out of her way to help us in a sticky situation. She was even kind enough to check back several times to make sure we were happy. Breakfast was very good and the selection was excellent. I would state that Frontage road is very loud at night with a lot of traffic and loud engine revving so if you are a light sleeper, you might bring some earplugs. They are currently under renovation, but it is not any inconvenience other than the first floor rooms are currently not available. If the second floor where we are is any sign of what the renovations will be like, the hotel will be very beautiful when they are finished. Our bed is very comfortable, the room is spacious, and we have been happy.

I loved it here! The staff were extremely nice to everyone in my family, and they were very helpful with all the questions we had. They always had a smile on their faces, and everybody we passed on the way out gave good wishes.

I was extremely disappointed! This hotel is currently undergoing construction, yet they are charging premium rates. To make matters worse, I accidentally got paint or some kind of compound on my brand new golf shirt. There was no signage warning guests to be cautious due to the presence of these substances. Additionally, I noticed dangerous tools lying around. The parking situation was horrendous, with only a limited number of options to enter the building. To top it off, the breakfast lacked basic amenities like water or ice. I've decided that I will never return to this hotel, and I'm even considering avoiding all IHG hotels altogether.

This was a nice little get away. My only ick was the pool being absolutely disgusting. Hair and stuff accumulated at the bottom. Pool should be cleaned nightly in my opinion. Other than that the pool area was clean and towels available.
