10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!||Very clean, very comfortable! Well-lit parking. Staff was super friendly and accommodating! Top-knotch service! Wide variety of breakfast foods available including gluten-free options! All employees were friendly! Bart and Kellie went WELL above and beyond to ensure our comfort, as well of the comfort of our 2 dogs! This stay was by far, hands down, easily the BEST hotel stay we have ever experienced! Thank you Holiday Inn Express Van Horn, Tx! You have raised the bar!

This hotel was just ok. I've stayed at several HI Express locations and I'm an IHG Member. The room was clean, which is my highest priority. Bed was comfortable. The shower drain worked well.really low water pressure though. The breakfast was fine for typical free hotel breakfasts. There were a few little things that showed disrepair, like desk lamp not working, sliding door looked like it was ready to come out of the wall, the pool and hot tub were out of service. So all in all, I don't think the price they charge is worth it. I could have stayed at a motel 6 for half the price. I expect more from IHG properties. I was only staying for one night so not a huge deal. But if this were a multi day stay or a family stay, I would have left and went somewhere

Honestly, this hotel is surprisingly nice for being in a small town. Room was spacious and clean! The free breakfast had a lot of great options. The staff were all nice. Definitely would stay here again.

We unexpectedly had to stay here 12/23, but it ended up being really great. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There are plenty of options for everyone for breakfast - including some gluten free options. The lobby was decorated very cute for Christmas, and the morning crew was very helpful and friendly.

Overall our hotel stay was a nice experience. Staff were helpful and nice, even with our late check in. The room itself was clean and well lit, the beds comfortable, and promised amenities were present. The hotel is easily accessed from I-10, though the only things around are other hotels. Since we only were stopping for the night on a trip, not an issue. A free continental breakfast was available. Basics such as eggs, bacon, pancake, cereal, etc. From a drink standpoint, I would have liked to see a non-dairy milk option for drinking/using for tea or coffee. But they did have a sugar free syrup option which was appreciated. The one place the room fell a little short was the bathroom. It was clean, but also was a little more worn than expected. The tile floor was loose in some spots, the towel bar had a hole patched with tape, and the towels themselves were somewhat small and rough. Nothing major but a little disappointing to see. For those wanting to have in-room television entertainment, the televisions are a little older with a basic controller and minimal channels. There are no options for using apps such as Netflix.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend requesting a room facing the mountains and not the freeway because the noise is too loud. Good size room. Excellent full breakfast. Our receptionist experience was less than what I've experienced on our road trips.

Sylvia ROCKED OUT an excellent breakfast! It was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had for the variety the freshness, and the most perfectly cooked bacon of all time. Front desk help at check in was great,very friendly and helpful. The room was impeccable. I'm surprised,myself, at how much praise I have for a chain hotel in a little Texas town but it was aces.

A bit on the pricey side. Stayed here for a night, definitely wish i could've stayed longer. The rooms were super clean, smelt amazing, and the bed was very comfortable. Felt very safe in our room, also had a good view of parking lot which was well lit. My only grievances were no freezer in the mini-fridge and if you don't position the showerhead right you flood the bathroom floor :( but other than that the pressure was amazing.
