Holiday Inn Express & Suites Valdosta West - Mall Area, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Valdosta - 1330 St Augustine Rd, USA

This IHG property ticks all of the boxes for a great guest experience. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, our platinum status and amenities were acknowledged, the water pressure is excellent, the internet is fast, the room is immaculate, the bed is very comfortable, and parking is easy - it's all good. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Valdosta. And definitely check out the great food at the nearby restaurant, Big Nick's.

Positive: My favorite hotels I have learned are Hikiday Inn Express so that is why I chose this hotel for my one night stay. The hotel was quiet, breakfast was great and the staff was nice. I also enjoy the Dove brand shampoo and always feel so clean. Negative: None- we did not utilize anything else during our short stay so not sure how th pool or wash machines were etc.

Clean, bright modern facility. Looked updated. Bright colors, very friendly staff. Shower was great, beds good. Real ceramic tub, large bathroom, safe and iron/board in room, small refrigerator, has electric car chargers in parking lot, Keurig coffee maker in room. Elevator inspected and smooth/quiet. Tile floors in some common area. Vending area weak, only drinks at $3 a pop. No bible in room. Breakfast was above average with the famous Holiday Inn Express cinnamon rolls! Overall, a very nice hotel except - yes, there is an exception - if you get a room facing the interstate you will hear traffic all night long. Especially the 18 wheelers. It is so bad the hotel provides ear plugs!!! They may need to replace the windows with impact resistant glass that cuts down on the noise. Ear plugs is not going to do it.

No big issues. Good place to stop over on the way to Disney. Quick and easy access to I-75 and local shopping/restaurants. Negative...twice I missed the exit from the hotel...both at night and in the morning. An arrowed exit sign would be a good idea. The bathroom was below par...since Covid, I've turned into Howard Hughes, and not the rich one. I bring my own cleaning supplies with me to a hotel. While I was cleaning the bathroom I found about 12 hairs in and around the tub and stool. Housekeeping needs to do a better job cleaning where it's easy to see...as I always say, can't imagine what it looks like where it's hard to see. No staff at the front desk at check-out, just a basket for room key. Did not try breakfast...don't do buffets any more.

The room was very clean. I like the stay green concept. Breakfast was good. I have stayed here many times before and always had a good stay. The king suite room is very spacious and comfortable. Hotel staff is always friendly. Parking is also good. They recognize me as a IHG rewards member.

While driving from Kentucky to Southern Florida, my husband and I needed to rest. Staff where friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a welcoming comfort after a long drive. We would stay again.

Edited 11/28/2023: I didn't have time to write a review before, but now do. We were traveling through Valdosta back North. We had placed a reservation online while on the road but hadn't had time to put in requests. When we got in, we explained our situation to Kathleen and she was SO helpful and patient with us. The rooms were clean and heated nicely [the temperature dropped significantly between Florida and Georgia lol]. Our rooms overlooked the highway, but we couldn't really hear traffic. We overslept and missed breakfast, but the coffee was good and hot at the hot beverage station. I would definitely go again.

So happy to find a hotel that was not 100% dog friendly. What is a person to do if they're allergic and every room has been occupied by someone with a pet? We went to 3 hotels before finding one that was not 100% pet friendly. The Candlewood Suites down the street smelled like a kennel. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Staff was very nice. Bathroom needs a little updating but we'll take it any day of the week over a hotel that allows pets in every room.
