Holiday Inn Express & Suites the Villages, an IHG Hotel - Featured Reviews (577)
"We had a mixed experience at this hotel. The front desk staff provided a warm welcome, which was a great start. However, our enthusiasm was short-lived as we encountered several issues. The elevator and hallway were hot, humid, and stuffy, and our room was no exception when we first entered. The air conditioning was off, so we had to wait 30 minutes for it to cool down. Once it did, we noticed dust coming out of the bathroom vent and on the toilet. The sheets had a musty smell, suggesting they had been stored for months. The rug appeared dirty, and the placement of the cabinet next to the TV made it difficult to watch from certain parts of the room. Additionally, the lighting was inconsistent, with one yellow bulb and one white bulb. To improve, the hotel should prioritize better air conditioning, thorough cleaning, and ensuring rooms are ready for incoming guests."
My family and I were looking for several rooms in the villages for a wedding. After looking at several hotels online we had family in the area actually visit a few of them. This turned out to be one of the best.|The place is clean, an absolute must for me. The rooms were nice size and had good beds.|The hotel offered a complementary breakfast with both hot and cold food items. And it was pretty good.|Another plus was the location to the Spanish town Square. It was an easy walking distance.|The price was right. Nothing fancy, but very good. I would recommend.
Stayed two nights at this hotel. Great location close to everything. Restaurants and shops very walkable. The hotel itself was recently renovated and room had nice decor. The cleanliness of the hotel was hit or miss. The staff overall was not very friendly and the breakfast was underwhelming with no Cinnabons one morning and no breakfast at all the next morning because staff did not show up. Ok hotel but next time may try the Comfort Suites across the street.
An overall great experience at this property. Hotel was renovated in the last year or so. There were a few minor maintenance things in the room but nothing to get into a twist over. Bed and pillows are comfortable, hotel is quiet and housekeeping service was prompt and delivered daily. Also, location is great!
We spent 5 nights at the Holiday Inn, The location is great with dining places easily within walking distance. |We were seldom at the hotel, never took part in the breakfast and was generally late when we got back to the hotel every evening.||The room was clean and comfortable and we had maid service each day we were there.
The room and hotel was really nice but....
There were no black out curtains and there was a PARKING LOT LIGHT outside the window. Needless To Say, we did not get a good night's sleep. The manager said she was going to refund my points I used, but has not done so. disappointed.
I reported this to IHG.
Rachel, the acting manager, reached out and argued that is was ok to put a customer in a room with broken curtains and not take it out of service until it is repaired.
AC in the room didn't cool very well. Reported it to the front desk. I only stayed 1 night so I don't know how quickly it was resolved. Very pet friendly! Seemed like everyone had at least 1 dog!
The questionable cleanliness of the room and lack of availability of a manger to address my concerns, are the reasons for the low rating. I have photos documenting all of the issues to include a dirty refrigerator, finding a pill, whether prescription or illicit doesn't matter, on carpeting, vacuuming would have picked it up, and questionable bed linens. I was advised that a survey would be sent to me and that I should attach the photos as well as a list of all the problems with room. No survey was received.
I checked out earlier than planned with no refund.
The stay was pre-paid. I was offered another room but with other concerns in addition to the above mentioned, I had no reasonable expectation that a different room was going to be clean. Perhaps even worse.

We recently stayed here for 2 months while dealing with some home damages/repairs. All of the staff (management, housekeeping, breakfast attendees, maintenance, and front desk) were all very friendly and professional. They all made us feel very welco
Gourmet shoppe that is dog friendly! We purchased multiple olive oils, balsamic vinegars and a steak marinate (most of which are available to taste). Great selection of sauces and soup starters also. Great staff to assist while shopping.
Beautiful theatre, very friendly attendants, acoustics were great! We saw Lonestar and it was a wonderful show with Christmas music included; made the show a nice touch.
Nice place. Live bands every day and beer huts on all four corners. Happy hour 2 for 1 drinks from 5-6. 70 and 80s music piped in on the sidewalks as you walk around (ZZ Top, Steely Dan).
Great place for a concert. Raised stage with great sounds.
There are both floor seating and raised seating both with comfortable chairs and direct on views of the show..
Our third show and we will be back for more

Great place to visit, and from what I hear, live as well. Newest of the villages I find it a bit more advanced with construction and vendors. Worth checking out!
This is a great little town square area with plenty of places to eat and shop at. There is live music (free) every night starting around 5 pm. If you're in the area, stop by. There are also lots of special events going on. This is also dog friendly.
This is an amazing theater! It has a real southern feel with all the old barn antiques. The seats were very comfortable. They also sell beer so always a plus.
Love the pool bar. We live in the Southern end and wish we had this in our area. Food is very good, always comes out hot and the servers are very nice. Mackenzie is truly one of my personal favorites there.
