Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sulphur (Lake Charles), an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Sulphur - 102 Mallard Rd, USA

Stayed here with family and enjoyed the experience. The property is easy to access from the freeway. The hotel looked very nice and the front desk staff were friendly. The room (2 queen beds) was great, very clean. Pleased to finally report after many stays at other IHG locations that we had fresh Kuerig coffee pods in the room. Normally this is not the case. Breakfast was as expected.

$200 in a holiday inn? After a $20 discount. We were 2.5hrs from home after driving 13hours and we couldn't make it. So we stopped in and the girl pulled the we only have 1 room left and it's a suite. Keep in mind it's almost midnight and we are done done. I give her my club member number for club pricing and she says oh sorry I can't give you club pricing because we are too busy so you can take it or leave it. The lady on checkout tried to make up for it with a $20 discount but $200 is still way too much to be treated that way after years and years of being loyal to IHG.

Very nice hotel and the lady at the front desk was very helpful and thoroughly explained where everything was and what time breakfast was. It has a pretty decent size parking lot but if you're not paying attention you might drive right by it like I did smh. There is also a cracker barrel in walking distance if you're looking for food.

I frequently travel for State business and have sampled accommodations at Best Western, Choice Hotels, Hilton, and IHG. Among them, this hotel has proven to be a standout, offering an unparalleled experience. The rooms are consistently pristine, creating a comfortable retreat after a day of official duties. Notably, the breakfast service is exceptional, featuring an array of choices, including the unexpected delight of turkey sausage—a thoughtful touch for health-conscious guests. What truly sets this hotel apart is their commitment to guest satisfaction. On select nights, they go above and beyond by providing a complimentary dinner, elevating the overall stay. This added gesture contributes to an atmosphere of genuine hospitality that has convinced me to wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to fellow business travelers. It has become my preferred choice, surpassing the standards set by other well-known chains.

Room was very clean and open. Air conditon worked wonders. I didn't use the service other than breakfast which was hot and plentiful. Location isn't great for restaurants but if your looking for proximity to refinery work, then the location is perfect.

I had a enjoyable stay at your location. It was very clean and nice. The staff were very nice and friendly. The only problem I had was that I had a hard time sleeping on the bed that was in my room but other than that I will definitely be staying with y’all again when I’m back in Louisiana.

Despite the negative reviews, this is a hidden gem. The lobby is beautifully appointed and welcoming. I love it that our room was right off the lobby and the ice machine right outside our door. Our room was great! Very clean. Bed very comfy. We loved it. Cookies in the lobby. The breakfast attendance was a sweetheart and the breakfast offerings, although simple, were entirely adequate and very tasty.

Great hotel for the price. Can hear other rooms sometimes but still able to relax and get sleep. Breakfast was generic, eggs are powdered but pancakes and bagels were good front desk attendant at check-in (evening) was fabulous.
