Great stay, unexpected overnight stay due to my aircraft that needed maintenance at Spirit of St. Louis Airport. ||Quiet night, rooms seem to be recently updated and well insulated. Appreciated the breakfast the next morning. ||Maintenance on my aircraft was delayed and was able to extend my stay for another night without any trouble. I'd stay again.
The room was nicely decorated. The bed was nice and soft. Unfortunately the carpet was very dirty. It had what looked like blood stains. And if the carpet is that dirty, it makes you wonder how well they cleaned the rest of the room. The room did have a coffee maker (with a selection of coffee), a fridge, and a microwave. The staff are very nice and the breakfast had a good selection. My stay was nice except for the carpet issue.
Myself, my husband, and our kids stayed in a family room for two nights and I have never had such a bad experience with a hotel. You know how hotels usually have enough hot water for your entire family to bathe? Not this one. The hot water lasts for like ten minutes, max. (There's even a cute little sign for the bathroom that says "Enjoy a greener stay" or something like that: aka cheaper for the hotel but not for you). Which is infuriating when you want to shower after sweating the entire day at a theme park (this was our family vacation). The beds were uncomfortable and the microwave in our room was broken (the turntable didn't work). On top of that, breakfast just tasted cheap. Couldn't even have waffles, just two tiny pancakes. Even the orange juice tasted watered down. The yogurt selection was nice, though. This place needs some competition or something because our stay really was not worth the money. Oh yeah, and there are zero vending machines in the hotel. Only the hotel's, ridiculously overpriced, 'market' where you can buy a small candy bar for $3.
Positive: The rooms were very clean. The walk-in shower was nice. Negative: Room readiness was horrible. General manager was horrible. The pool was horrible. The breakfast dining room was freezing and horrible. The food was OK. I had four rooms reserved for a whole weekend. Was very disappointed
Called to confirm reservation was told King bed for 1 adult & teenagers. Stated I booked room with 2 double beds & was told will get it switched. Showed up 2 days later was told king bed only & would not switch because they were full
I should give 1.5 star but I am giving some benefit of doubt because I was there only once. ||||Their breakfast is really looking like they are trying to cut down on costs. A small motel has bigger breakfast if they want to expand the business. I appears that they have no competition here.||||This was not the only reason to give them low review.||||I asked for fixing lavatory and they handed me plunger instead, to take care myself. What kind of hotel do that? We did not have time to argue but this kind of service is not expected from "Holiday Inn".||||Their staff is also not available at front desk and whenever you approach. ||||These are early signs of getting from bad to worse so hopefully their management would take action to save themselves from embarrassing future.
We came straight from the Holiday Inn Express in West Plains. It was kind of a shock how the rooms looked. The hospitality and breakfast situation . After a great time a day before you feel neglected. First, nobody to find responsible for the breakfast , table sticky . Things are missing like chocolate drinks for my grandson. Missing like in: not there at all, not just empty
Very happy, I’ve been here a few times. Always great prices and safe location. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast is decent. Great location to stay.

Fantastic service and presentation. Cheesy Breadsticks are a 10/10. Pizza I had was NY style Pep/Banana Peps and was very good. Crust lacked some umph for me but a great pizza. 7.6/10 Cannolis were amazing. Fried perfectly, delicious ricotta filling
