Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salisbury, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Salisbury - 125 Marriott Cir, USA

Stayed one night early this month. The hotel itself is in a great location, right off of hwy 85. The staff was friendly, and the lobby was nice. However, our room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was dirty, there were unidentifiable substances on the wall surrounding the toilet, and the shower definitely had not been cleaned thoroughly. There were remnants of previous guests’ hygiene products on the shower shelves, and hair in the shower. It was almost like whoever had “cleaned” just cleaned the middle part of the shower, forgetting the top, bottom, floor, and the door. The outside of the shower door has obviously been neglected for quite some time. I realize that housekeeping employees are human and mistakes happen, but housekeeping supervisors/management should be inspecting rooms to ensure cleanliness. No one wants to pay for an unsanitary hotel room. I spoke to the manager regarding this the next morning and she stated that she would have IHG refund my points. That was nearly three weeks ago and nothing has been refunded. I reached out to IHG personally, and my email was ignored.

Very comfortable located to the assembly hall. Surrounded by several fast food restaurants. The welcoming desk right at the door upon entrance. Eatery well situated and roomy. Breakfast area very nice. Excellent breakfast and choices of food. Carpets could use a cleaning in the corridors. Smell nice the floor and entrance into the room. Very comfortable rooms. Ironing board and iron. Small frigerator. Coffee maker in the room. Plesant to see Dove supplies for grooming and hair care. Staff very nice express appreciation of our presence here. Small canteen area to purchase last minute items.

Had a great stay at this location. Room was super clean, hotel is very comfortable and safe. Breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is that the hotel is wood frame structure and when folks above are moving around, it makes some noise but otherwise perfect stay.

If your reading this review questioning if you should stay here or the Courtyard, go to the Courtyard. Holiday Inn is a newer hotel so you would expect it to be better, it wasn't. I have now stayed at both locations and the Courtyard was a better stay. Both hotels need some up keep but the amenities at Courtyard made up for what it was lacking at the Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn is in need of repairs and a good cleaning. On arrival there was popcorn on the floor and an old soap smell coming from the shower. Making the stay instantly negative and the room uninviting. The elevators are also rough and seem like they need attention. With a 3 night stay our room was never serviced, which had us going back and forth to the front desk everyday for some basic needs. Some simple things would make this stay better like have a real glass in the room instead of paper coffee cup.

This was a nice place to stay. For the most part, everything here was quite nice. My room was clean and well-stocked. Breakfast was included in the cost of spending the night and comparatively speaking it was a decent spread of food. There is a very small store in the lobby if you get the munchies. My one negative is the wet floor signs seem to be permanently attached to the floor as they were there all afternoon yesterday and still present the next morning. My room was very quiet and dark. The quiet is partly because of my room selection being on the top floor, far from the elevator. Being on the top, or bottom floor limits noisy neighbors. This is a decent location and convenient to many eating places with a seafood restaurant a very short walk away.

The front desk clerk extended my stay by two days WITHOUT my permission! I already had a reservation at another Holiday inn express in another city using my points. She had no right! Then they charged me another nights stay while I was staying at the other hotel 2 days later. How many guests have they cheated this way?

The room was nice. The hotel in general was good , but, the panhandlers are out in full force and approached us every evening in the parking lot.
