Holiday Inn Express & Suites Rockingham, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Rockingham - 800 E US-74 Business, USA

I am a veteran with a service dog. This hotel needs to make sure that ALL of their employees are educated on the laws that govern and protect Service Animals. My wife and I just checked out and we were fixing a quick breakfast before getting back on the road. An employee approached me and my service dog and requested that we leave the food/dining area due to local health codes and hotel policy. The Americans with Disabilities Act clearly states,"establishments that sell or prepare food must allow Service Animals in public areas even if state or local health codes prohibit animals on the premises." The employee asked for my room number when I refused her request to leave and we finished our complimentary breakfast and departed. Other than this instance, the stay was good. To add insult to injury, I am a IHG Rewards Member and I was wearing a Veteran cap and my Service Dog was wearing her vest. Other than this one blunder on their part that pretty much ruined the morning for me, our stay was good. Dan Portaro, Durham, NC

The sign in was fast. The person at the desk was cery pleasant and fast. It was in a nice part of town.The room was clean and everyone was very pleasant. The breakfast food was nice variety and tasted great.

Stopped on the way to Myrtle Beach and room was clean and the breakfast was a great selection. The front desk lady working the night of August 26th was VERY VERY KIND! The other staff was great as well! Most places don’t accommodate my family of 6! They did! 1000% would stay at this location again.

Positive: Clean, nice location. Accommodating staff. I had two reservations due to some changes in travel and they didn't give me any hassle when I forgot to check-in for the second reservation. They made sure my stay went smoothly. Negative: The tub had a slow drain.

I was able to make the rewards reservation by phone while on the move. I let the hotel staff know I would be arriving quite late. I was greeted warmly on arrival and had a comfortable, but short night. My only issue is that I felt the points requirement was excessive.

Super clean room and outstanding staff. Pool was clean, though it could use a few more chairs poolside. We ran into a few difficulties and Kayla and Vee at the front desk were awesome in helping us out. Will be back if our competition circuit brings us back to Rockingham!

This hotel served my purposes well. It is convenient to everything I needed to do in the Hamlet, NC area and it is near every shopping item I needed. My relatives and I stay there when attending family reunions or business meetings. I love the convenience of having a hot breakfast to start my day! Great hotel!

Had a very nice stay while visiting my Dad . Everyone here was so kind even though my autistic son was very loud at times, we were still treated with an incredible understanding and kindness. I only intended on staying one day and night, but after my mother's unexpectedly passing just a couple of days before my plans to see her and then my traveling to see my Dad, well, I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to my Dad yet. Because of this and the welcoming feeling my autistic son and I felt here at the Holiday inn Express I decided to stay another night. The staff was so sweet and the location here was ideal for us. We were close to my dad's home, next door to a Walmart for anything I may need, my son's favorite drive thru places , and definitely favorite store to shop, Goodwill 😂 I hope to visit Dad again real soon and will most definitely come back here for our overnight stays.
