Holiday Inn Express & Suites Porterville, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Porterville - 840 S Jaye St, USA

I was very grateful to find this room in Porterville. It was a large room with a gigantic king size bed. It was very quiet and I slept well. The bed was super comfortable with soft sheets and a firm mattress and very nice pillows. The bathroom was clean and pretty big the room had a safe and good Wi-Fi . The hotel had a fitness center, which was clean and well equipped but a little bit stinky. The staff was very friendly. The door to my room didn’t always latch unless I pulled it tight. So just make sure your door is shut when you leave or go to sleep the breakfast wasn’t super fantastic and I didn’t enjoy the coffee or coffee creamer options but there are nice espresso shops within a five minute drive.

My family was in Porterville for a wedding over the weekend. We travel quite a bit, and never know what to expect from the hotels. We checked in and were instantly pleased with the cleanliness, and professional staff. The rooms were large and very clean, very comfortable bed, quiet able to relax, and a nice gym. The continental breakfast was very good, with a large selection. We were very impressed and feel the staff did an excellent job, corporate should be proud of the hotel, and staff. We have stayed in resorts that were less impressive. Great job!

I had a great simple experience here. Got a room last minute on Christmas Eve. The room was clean, really big & quiet. Breakfast the next day could have been better but it did the trick. Recommendation: Breakfast Attendant should be greeting guests as they enter & have food full until its actually over. I had all the food I needed but I heard her tell another family that she "ran out" of food while Breakfast hours were still happening. Parking lot was safe & clean.

Overall decent hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast is definitely lacking compared to most IHG that I stay at. The rooms are comfortable and bathrooms are clean. Best option to stay at in porterville though.

I always enjoy staying here for business but now know to avoid checking in at rush hour (front desk only staffed with 1), and insist on a third story room opposite the road. I woke up with the work crew guests when they started stomping around a 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep due to road noise. If you are a tea drinker, be prepared to find the breakfast staff to fill your cup every time you want hot water, or bring your own (there is no hot water tap).

The bed did not seem like a king bed. I either got a queen when I was put in the room but I clearly remember booking a king. The whole hotel was clean. I have stayed at Holiday Express before many times. The breakfast was way better before. This one did not have many options. Like before.

Stopped at the Porterville holiday inn on our way to Yosemite. Was greeted by the fabulous Arianna who suggested evening meal options and advice for our onward journey. Had a good nights sleep - 4 of us in the room - myself and husband and 2 daughters. Enjoyed a swim in the clean pool and a fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice including a make your own pancake machine. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a restful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Porterville, CA. My room was clean and fresh, with a comfy bed and several feather down pillows. The staff was welcoming and professional. The hotel offers lots of great options for breakfast. I will stay here again the next time I’m in town.
