Holiday Inn Express & Suites Perry, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Perry - 601 Everett Way, USA

My family I recently had the unfortunate displeasure of staying at this location. We were there for the home going service of a loved one. We arrived late Friday night to an odd smell in the room but assumed that may just be how the hotel smelled and we were exhausted. The next morning when my husband went to iron our clothing he discovered an ironing board covered in mold. Upon talking to the attendant we were moved to another room. At the time our rooms were switched my husband had other affairs and I was left earlier to the neighboring city. He went to help with funeral services. I told him to move to Hampton Inn but he didn’t have the time and preoccupied with other funeral arrangements. Upon arriving back to the hotel after 11:00pm I was greeted with a strong scent of perfume and due to my allergies I went to speak to the clerk. She assured me they did not use any form of scented products in the rooms and she had no other way to accommodate us. After sitting outside for almost 2 hours, trying to figure out another option due to we live 3.5 hours away and this town has limited options. I returned to my room and attempted to shower and settle down to be greeted with a dirty bathroom and it still reeked of perfume smelling chemical products. Last weekend was extremely difficult for my family and I as we had to laid our family member to rest. I received a call today from the hotel (she didn’t give her name) and she stated; We did not smell perfume and when my husband took the new room he didn’t complain. As I stated to her he doesn’t have the allergies I do so the strong smell didn’t bother him. It bothered me! She basically told me we DID NOT experience the things we said we did and she was just calling to give us her sincere apology. As I explained to her and apology. It’s just that I am sorry for what you experienced during your stay. However she called me to tell me that I did not experience the things that I experienced and in there was no other room they could have switched us to that night because the hotel was at capacity and here’s to my deepest apology. I wish I could have taken a picture of the smells ! Extremely disappointed and I will never stay at this hotel again.

During my stay at this hotel in Perry, FL, I was truly impressed by the warm hospitality of Mrs. Teri. She greeted me with a smile and a sense of genuine kindness, something rare in my frequent travels. Her quick wit and cleverness added a spark to the experience, making it one of the best examples of customer service I've encountered. The hotel itself reflects the unique charm of Northern Florida, with a contemporary design that embraces the natural surroundings. The green and brown tones, while perhaps a touch nostalgic, evoke the essence of the region's swampy landscapes. It's as if the designer captured the spirit of Perry, blending the outdoors with modern comfort, yet allowing nature to remain undisturbed. The almost-outdated colors hold a certain beauty, representing the timelessness and resilience of this town. This is my first visit to Perry, and I've found it to be a place of gentle beauty, filled with kind-hearted people who embody a calm and unhurried way of life. The hotel, with its thoughtful design, mirrors the town's personality perfectly—welcoming, serene, and deeply connected to the land.

We stayed at the hotel in Perry about a month ago. The outside looks inviting, but the rooms are somewhat dated. That was ok, but today after driving 7 hours we stopped at it again. My disabled husband went to get us a room. The person at the desk continued to answer the phone 3 times instead of asking them to hold and service my husband. He never acknowledged him, but to make eye contact. We are elite members of Holiday Inn and also members of their vacation resorts. Not acceptable to be greeted this way. We left without him acknowledging us and went to the Hampton down the road. Janet Vickers

The hotel rooms were clearly not cleaned properly. The bathroom floors not mop in long time. Hair stuck to floor and shower not cleaned. The room smelled old and musty. Very disappointing. Would not recommend or stay here ever again. Will drive the hour to Tallahassee.

I had been concerned about staying here because of credible negative reviews. But I had no problem the room was clean and spacious, with toilet and shower working just as they should. Two decent queen beds and a desk with lots of room for computer work.

This was the strangest Holiday Inn I have spent a night at. The room was nicely appointed but felt moist despite having the AC on. The halls do not appear to be Air Conditioned and were extremely warm and humid. I will not be returning.

Like most , I was torn between Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express. I chose Holiday Inn Express. Its a solid hotel but not perfect. I got the feeling that this was a franchise owned property with the owner micro-managing every detail with cost in mind. I may be wrong. Some time in the past our room had been occupied by thoughtless guest who smoked. Also the breakfast had lots of old food including a package of yougart that had fermented and an english muffin that was hard as a rock. But the hotel has plenty of upside including a plentful onsite convenient store (warning the diet pepsi is expired) also the hotel is walking distance to Huddle House and a convenient store. Also the hotel is next door to Tractor Supply company...a fun place to burn 30 minutes looking at thier inventory. Ill also add all the staff at the Holiday Inn Express Perry are very pleasant. UPDATE: A Week after my stay the town of Perry was hit with a CAT 1 . I hope the staff at the hotel faired well and I'm sure the hotel had the opertunitu to serve the community and maybe power company linemen in the aftermath. Our thoughts are with you.

Will never stay here again! Dirty bathroom and the smell is this hotel was horrible! The smell in our room was even worse! My nose is so stuffed up! Not enough towels for the 3 of us. I ended up cleaning the bathroom floor myself gross…black rag by time I was done. Worst HIE ever! Save your money at 150plus a night go somewhere else!!!!
